To be honest, I've never seen the "Triple X Confidential" versions so I don't know exactly what was cut.
From what I have seen, the concept of each volume was the same. Bobby Hollander would interview a girl who was new to the industry, typically one who had just done magazine shoots at that point (hence the tile). Hollander would then pair the new girl up with popular male talent of the day like John Leslie, Paul Thomas, Tom Byron et al. to do her first hardcore scene. The series featured newcomers like Shauna Grant, among others.
I read that VCA cut out all the interview portions. Viewed in a modern context, they are somewhat dated and hokey, so I can understand this logic. There was also one scene that may have been cut from one of the volumes (I can't recall which number, but I don't have it), in which Jamie Gillis penetrated his partner anally without her consent. The woman in question was noticeably shaken up, and left the industry shortly thereafter. Several years ago, a crew member who worked on the original series posted to RAME and verified that the incident had occurred and that it was left uncut and intact on early versions of the tape. One of the few instances of actual rape you are likely to see in a porn flick.
