The answer is yes. And no. I think that what can happen is that fans will assume certain things based on a name, and depending on whether that thing they've assumed is to their desires or away from their desires, it might make them more or less likely to check out the girl. So, applying what I'm saying to this example, I think that if a fan is particularly into Asian girls, and thinks "Mina Lee" is an Asian girl and checks her out as a result, he/she will be disappointed to find out that Mina isn't Asian. Regardless of whether he/she would have been into Mina otherwise, now he/she just associates Mina with being duped, and is therefore not into her. (Of course this wouldn't happen 100% of the time or anything; but it would happen.) If a fan is not into Asian girls, and thinks "Mina Lee" is an Asian girl, they'll be much less likely to bother checking her out. And therefore potentially miss out on someone they may have been into otherwise. If a fan doesn't care one way or the other whether or not a girl is Asian, then of course it won't matter anyway. Neither of those two scenarios I described work well for Mina Leigh, which is why I said initially in my other post that it's probably just as well that she changed the spelling of her surname from "Lee" to "Leigh". (Oh, and this doesn't just apply to Asian porn girls. Suppose a fan is totally into Euro porn. Then they might be more likely to click on a name like "Lucy Theodorova" than a name like "Brianna Love". Or a fan is really into the huge-busted women. They might be more likely to click on the name "Tiffany Towers" than the name "Amber Lynn". Conversely, if they're not into big boobs, they might go the other way. etc.) [Link] |

The scene went well - a DP shoot with Ben English and Mick Blue (both great performers) for Zero Tolerance. Unfortunately, I started getting a cold, but the bad symptoms didn't really start until after the shoot - thank god. These are the days I remember that being a porn star is no walk in the park. It was a struggle to stay collected and energetic for the scene, but I did my best and everyone on set was pleased (and the dp was the easiest part of it all.). So now, I've got a box of tissues, some vitamin C and cough syrup next to me while I lie in the bed watching MAD MEN. As soon as I find out more info about the DVD, I'll let you know. And yes, I was actually wearing the costume I perform in. So when I got there, no one else was around to walk the red carpet with me, so I went through the gauntlet of cameras alone - yikes! I'm still not used to all that attention; I was so nervous. Once I got in, I saw some of my fellow porn star friends, Charlotte Vail and Evie Delatossa. Evie couldn't stop kissing me! It was a shame I didn't go home with her. I briefly met the producer for the new porn Bewitched movie and I started thinking how fun would it be if they did an Adam's Family porn.
