Is anyone else having trouble navigating the newly designed Evil Angel offical website? Everytime I try to click on on the button which connects to a movie's info page a pop-up error widow appears that basically states internet explorer has to abort the page, after I either click on the pop up window's ok bottun or the upper right corner/s "X" delete button the next page that pops up is an error one.

Hi I just tested it out and had the same problem with Internet Explorer, but it worked fine with Firefox.

Probably some kind of bug that they have to fix with IE. I'd suggest using another browser for a few days.

killbillvol69,

Thanks for the help. I did what you suggested and I'm now able to reach the info pages for the movies, but while i'm able to reach those pages I'm now having trouble getting the trailers to play. The website doesn't seem to be communicating with my windows and quicktime players. Before I downloaded the FireFlox browser I was able to hear the trailers playing through my internet explorer, even though the pop-up error window prevented me from seeing them. Now when I try to view and/or listen to them through internet explorer the trailers won't play. Can you please help me resolve this problem.

I don't have any problem paying the trailers. Sorry man I don't know what to say.

Maybe email Tricia and ask her if she can tell you anything.

I just posted an annoying little question on Tricia's appreciation thread before I saw this one - I'm embarrassed!! I'm having trouble too, and I'm hoping because it's a work in progress and not some systemic symptom that won't allow me to access the content. I really hope to see a consensus, otherwise a proposed solution as I am addicted to checking for updates almost daily... I need access to Jake Malone, Belladonna, Joey, Manuel, Jay Sin....... uuuugggghhhh, i'm a little nervous!

I had that problem with IE, too, but I found that sometimes I could still see the trailer even after getting the message. Right now I can't. When I could see the trailer in IE, I could view them full screen. I just tried Firefox. I didn't get the error messages, but I couldn't view trailers full screen. But in any case, what happened to being able to choose between low, medium, high and Evil quality for trailers? A cost-saving move in response to the economy?

While I could understand John and Tricia wanting their company's website looking really flashy and eye catching I wish they would go back to the site's old look and format, which I feel was easy to figure out and navigate. It also seems to me that it had more trailer options (i.e. resolution and media player types).

Is there a buttone for trailers, or do they just load into the black box next to the boxcover?

It seems to be a compatibility issue with Flash and IE 7. Our internet dept is going to have the programmers start looking at it right away.
In the meantime, it seems that the titles and trailers are loading fine in Firefox.

tricia_devereaux,

Everytime I try using Firefox to view your site's trailers the box where they suppose to appear ends up being blank. Do you think this problem and the for-mention problem has anything to do with the fact that my computer's operating system is Windows Vista?

Well, don´t wann be an ass but i can not understand either why a company would change their working website. I was more than happy that EA didn´t join the road of always changing looks of their website that so many others did. Now this, to be honest i haven´t clicked much to be wining right now but i´m afraid we don´t get to download their trailers in the future. Look at Bangbros and what they did to their site You could always keep the sound on with EA ... now with those audio gimmicks it sucks

Cube ... not amused

We definitely know that having trailers working on the majority of platforms and browsers is essential. The site will get fixed, and then there won't be any major changes to it for awhile.

It was changed for a bunch of reasons, including:
Our site was in desperate need of a backend overhaul. Too much of our code was manual instead of pulling from a central database, so information would have to be input in several different places.

There were backend leaks for affiliate codes, which made affiliates really unhappy with us.

I don't pretend to know what it takes to run a website like EE's, but I am HUGELY grateful they care enough about the consumer to offer trailers of vids to whet our appetites and create good buzz. Thanks for answering the questions, Tricia!!

I just got a message to try using IE again, and the trailers came up for me. If you click on the EXPAND tab on the trailer box, the trailers go full screen, and you just press ESCAPE to bring back the previous page view.

Alexl-
Try again to see if the fixes today made a difference for you. Personally, I don't have access to any Windows Vista-operating computers. The only PC I bought since Vista came out, I downgraded to XP, and everything else was Mac.

tricia_devereaux,

Thanks, I checked last night and just a few moments ago and the problems with IE do appear to be fix because I had no issues getting to the pages with and viewing trailers.

You could if you wouldn´t get this feedburner errormsg :(

------------------------------------------------------------
There has been an error of some kind. Ack!
FeedBurner could not deliver this feed to you because of the specific problem listed below:

Feed Address: http://feeds.evilangel.com/main

HTTP Error (Code) and Message: (404) Feed not found error: FeedBurner cannot locate this feed URI.
What can I do about this?

1. If you are a potential or current subscriber, contact the publisher to notify them that their feed content is not available. This may be temporary problem that requires their intervention to resolve, or the publisher may have permanently removed the feed from FeedBurner.
2. If you are the publisher of this feed, sign into FeedBurner and visit your feed's “Troubleshootize” tab to view FeedMedic, our automated diagnostic report for your feed. A cause for the problem, and tips for troubleshooting it, may be found there.

The new site is complete and utterly awful in every way. The design is cheap and the navigation is terrible. Whoever designed the navigation obviously has no clue on the principles of web design. I guess i'll just have to check other sites for latest information on Evil Angel releases.

It's very easy to navigate. The info about new releases is not as "at hand" as it was, but access to the trailers is just like Tricia explained - simple. Bottom line - EE is one of the top three production companies operating and they provide FREE, and many times extended, previews of their product. Why do people cringe from even the smallest changes?

Will there be redirects for old links? We have tons of links to individual movie pages that now go to error pages.

If you have a second sometime, could you take a peek and see what the couple of most recent trailers viewable through the podcast are?

I'm not seeing the recent ones, yet I'm seeing some recent BTS-type clips on there.

@Tricia: I set up the podcast per your instructions, and it's in my iTunes and all, but when I click on "play podcast" nothing happens. Is that because there are no podcasts there yet and I just have to wait, or did something go wrong?

I have to be honest I'm not crazy about the new website design either. I understand the reasoning behind the decision to change and all but the overall layout of the site was fine for me. There were a few quirks to it but 99% of the time it worked perfectly for me and as a consumer I liked it more because it was a friendlier interface to work with. I could quickly see which director had new movies coming out and watch the trailers quite easily. It's still there to an extent but it seems like it needs a lot of work. I know adjusting to change isn't easy and all but honestly after using the site for the past week or so I have to admit I like the previous site better. I'm still happy with the site and don't want to see it go the way of other sites that make it impossible to see the content of the movies and trailers without buying things. To me EA was already ahead of the others because of the way you present your movies. I just hope some things are improved to make it as friendly and easy to use as the previous site was.

Steph - OK, that's a relief. Honestly, I'm not sure if it was part of the Flash fix that fixed the IE issues or if it was a separate fix. Either way, it's a relief that it's ok.

To everyone else, I'm not going to keep posting in this thread every day that we're working on issues. But we are.

It was a conscious decision by the internet dept. to stop allowing downloads of trailers. However, they are using analytics to find out the technical specs of the surfers who use our sites and watch (or try to watch as the case may currently be) our trailers. It was always a possibility that we would add a second speed for slower connections.

Unfortunately, the site was supposed to be finished a few months ago, and right now all the executives at the company are knee-deep in preparations for AEE and Internext. We've given our basic concerns lists to the programmers, and they'll be working on those.

On the podcast questions, I haven't gotten an answer from the programmers yet.

I just had a look to see what the fuss was all about. Frankly I find the new site quite nice, sleekier and better layed out than the old one for me. Works flawlessly on my old eMac with Safari 3.2.1.

Watched the trailer for "My Evil Sluts 3" wich played smoothly, even with the "expand" feature.

I'm not too surprised to hear this view Tricia.

Do remind them, however, that many people buy movies because they've seen the trailer, even if they downloaded it. I watch pretty much all the EA trailers and download quite a few, but I still buy all the movies that look good. And I discovered Jay Sin's work, for example, via the downloaded trailers and now I buy his releases too.

For me, the trailer is only a taste and I'll always buy the full movie.

It's also nice to have a collection of trailers to remind you what/who's in a movie without having to pull out the disc to check.

I reckon people that download the trailers and don't buy the movie were never going to buy it anyway.
