Aww shucks. Thanks. :) Yeah, I LOOOVE photography. I've always been into it but recently in the last year I've gotten really involved with it. I'll spend like an hour a night at LEAST looking at pics on Flickr, usually in the Strobist, Fisheye, or Light Painting groups....mostly the Strobist lately. What kind of stuff do you like to shoot? What kind of cam/lens do you have? Do you have a Flickr or online portfolio of any kind? I have a Flickr but it's totally kept free from the porn world so I can (hopefully) use it to get business as a photographer on the side. Just to be safe. Yeah, taking pictures of anything is pretty cool. I looooove fisheye pics. I'm got an 8mm Pro-Optic that is very killer. I've been trying to get people to pose for me, like my friends, and everyone's like "oh yeah! i'll model for you!" and they present ideas and when it's time to take pics they blow me off or whatever. Lame. I'd like to post a link to my Flickr or post some pics on here but I'm trying to keep the ChodeMasterJ porn persona away from my photography stuff. Diem, Thanks for sharing such a personal and insightful aspect of your life. I understand as well since I have a couple of female friends who were in abusive relationships, and it took them years of verbal and physical abuse to actually get the courage to finally leave their boyfriends.But they did fear for their life because after they had left them, their property (car, home) were constantly vandalized. It's sad that this happens everyday to alot of people as we speak. But nobody should live their lives in fear of anyone else. Despite what some think, we are all our own individual persons and are not the property of others. All in all, I'm glad you were able to break away from your abusive relationship and are now living a happier life for yourself. Big Congrats to you!

I read your blog post about this, I was so happy that you got out of that situation. It was so sad that all was going well until he laid a hand on you. No one (girl or guy) should ever get hit by someone they love. I've seen it happen w/friends of mine all too often and like you said, even when they leave, the abuse sometimes doesn't end there (stalking, vandalizing property, et.al). But it takes more courage to leave such a relationship and it's so worth it once they do like you did cuz I'm sure you were scared when you did plus had tons of questions running thru your head. Sad to say, some of the ones that cause the abuse don't even rationalize they're doing anything wrong. At times I offered advice/support for my friends that had this happen to them but often it would go on deaf ears or get the replys, "he/she had a hard day at work", "it only happens once in awhile", "but I love him/her". You can only do so much. Nevertheless, there are the occasional happy endings to these situations and yours is one of them. I'm glad you're no longer in that situation and are happy in eveything you do and I for one love ya bunches and am proud of you.
