I am finalizing the fan favorites brackets in the next 24 hours and always leave some names off. What I need is some help. If you can think of any names to add to the following categories, Best Female, Best Male, Best Newbie, Best Director or Best Company, please email them to me Rog@Rogreviews.com Also I will be doing the Critics Choice awards so again, Best Female, Best Male, Best Newbie, Best Director, Best Company but also, Best All SEx Movie, Best Feature and Best DVD. His name will make it, but to be honest, since Vivid stopped sending screeners to dvdpornreviews, I haven't seen much of his stuff. Thanks Rog [Link]

constance le Member 212 Posts 10/02	Posted - Nov 21 2002 : 2:56PM i realize that this is all about fan favorites and such, but i wanted to bring up this point: in past voting rounds, i've seen that you'll group directors together in brackets that seem somewhat random, so you end up with feature directors and gonzo directors in the same bracket. i find it very difficult to vote one against another when they don't even work in the same medium, and it seems unfair to the nominees to be lumped together like that. just take a look at some old brackets: http://old.rogreviews.com/99pollsdir.htm am i being too picky or can something be done about this? Click to expand That is a really good point. I DO put them in random brackets. In fact, I have a system. The top 8 finishers in the previous polls are all #1 seeds in new brackets. That way I don't have the best of the best all bunched up. After that, I take all the names, write them down and draw them from a hat. This is done to keep some brackets from being too strong in the early rounds while others are weak. We don't want John Leslie, John Stagliano, Jules Jordan, Mike John, Lexington Steel, Michael Raven, Pierre Woodman and Max Hardcore to face off in round one. As for Feature Vs. Gonzo director, I don't know what to do. I know it's hard, but if I separate them into different brackets, then we end up with a gonzo vs feature director at the end. Is that a fair match up? If Michael Raven or Paul Thomas are going to make it that far, shouldn't they face the whole field? It's a constant battle. And in the fan polls, feature directors don't usually do as well as the gonzos, but that's the nature of porn fans on line. Tom Byron has won it twice and Jules won it last year. Great suggestion Constance, I just don't know how to get around it. One final thing on it being random. I have to do it that way so no one accuses me of stacking the deck. :-) Late [Link]

As for Best Newbie I didn't see Anna Belle but since she has done only 3 scenes that I know of this might not be enough for her to be considered. In the Best Female category I didn't see either Michelle Wild or Rita Faltoyano listed and both have had busy years with some great sex released. Still all in all a great job and this should be a fun contest. Let's hope a lot of the winners can be at the party in Vegas to get their awards!!! [Link]

But in the Best Female take a look at Bracket 2. This one is loaded folks, not a bad one in the bunch--- Aurora, Gauge, Jenna Jameson, and Sylvia Saint. How do you pick from that list of lovelies. It was hard for me but two ladies in this bracket obviously had very productive years making many films while one did a couple and also ran a very successful website. Then there was the first bracket in the female category which had Bella and Monica Sweetheart-- now how do you choose there,lol. Have fun voting everyone!!! [Link]
