I'm happy for Devinn Lane getting "Road Trixxx" nominated as Best Gonzo Release. I love that Jennifer Luv got a Best New Starlet nomination. It's nice to see my and Skronker's gal get some recognition. (I'm telling you, Wicked Picturs are idiots if they don't sign Jennifer to a contract with their "latin girl" search). Teagan will probably win, more for hype than anything else. Nice to see Nautica Thorn and Christie Lee on that Best New Starlet list as well. Of special note to ADT readers: Ariana Jollee is nominated 4 times including Female Performer of the Year, Christie Lee is nominated twice including Best New Starlet, Cytherea scored Best New Starlet and Female Performer of the Year and 8 other nominations (incuding 3 in one category), Jewel De'Nyle got 1 nomination, Jules Jordan got so many I lost count, Kami Andrews got 1 for her scene with Brandon Iron in Mason's "Riot Sluts", Katja Kassin got 3 including Female Performer of the Year, Missy Monroe got two including Best New Starlet, Selena Silver got 2, both of them in the same category. Mike John, Stevel Holmes, Erik Everhard, Mason, William H, Brandon Iron, and many other industry people who visit us here at ADT are also represented in the nominations. People who have posted here in the past, such as Pandora Dreams and Katie Morgan, got nominations as well. My biggest surprise: where the fuck is Haley Paige? If girls like Dani Woodward, Dana Vespoli, Lily and Lucy Thai qualify as Best New Starlet then so does Haley. If not, I'd put her in as Female Performer of the Year even though she's been quiet lately. And why did Devinn Lane get completely shafted in the performance categories? It seems to me that I watch a lot of porn, but good god, there's no way I could get through enough to really evaluate these things. My strike rate is a little better in the feature division, but category after category i'm just thinking, "Didn't see that. Didn't see that. Nope." But I like "Misty Beethoven! The Musical" for best sex comedy, Veronica Hart for directing Misty, and Jesse Jane for best actress in "Loaded," both in my critical opinion and as predictions (usually those things don't match up). And I hope Charmane Star and Kaylani Lei have a shot at best oral scene from "Eye of the Beholder," going up against the gonzo competition. Is a contract performer with a relatively smaller output, like Devinn or Jesse, at a disadvantage compared to a gonzo girl who cranks it out all year long? And someone like Monica Sweetheart probably didn't have as strong a year as she did last year, but I'd still take her over almost anyone on the Female Performer list. How does that shake out? Also, though I agree that making the "foreign" distinction the way they do makes some sense, if that's the case then Katsumi definitely should be on the U.S. list as well. [Link] |
