There are a couple of stars who host small parties, but they are industry-only, usually with a pretty tight door policy. As the others said, yes bring a camera to the convention. As for bars, what do you mean meet someone? Do you mean hook up for sex, or just meet friendly people to hang out with? Or to meet the industry people after convention hours? The industry people tend to hang out at the Venetian, Hard Rock, and this year I wouldn't be surprised if Rum Jungle is high on the list. [Link] |

It is one of the best times for studios to get together with their customers and peers. Most of the Industry takes a "break" to attend the show. We (Ghost Pro) are having an Industry Party at the Hard Rock Cafe on Jan 6th. The Players Ball is also on the 6th. 2. The stars I know of that have parties are producers too. Try using a search engine to see if anyone is having an event. 3. Absolutely! Make sure you camera is fully charged and bring some extra memory sticks. There there will be TONS of photo ops. 4. There are lots of clubs and bars in Vegas. The Hard Rock and Palms are normally the best for people watching and meeting in Vegas. During the AEE, alot of activity will be focused at the Venetian and Mandalay Bay, since those are the venues for the AEE and Internext. Red Square (bar) in Manadalay Bay is great. Make sure you look for Stalin's head. Just walking around the tables at the Venetian is fun. You might be able to play some blackjack with Ron Jeremy, or Pai Gow with your favorite star. Just remember, they are there to have fun too. If you are looking for sex (for pay), Pahrump (Sherri Ranch, etc.) is about an hour outside of Vegas. That is the closest LEGAL prostitution to Vegas. Selling of product is not allowed on the convention floor so you won't see that at all. Though if you are a business buying a product in bulk the companies do have ways of helping you. You can on occasion find things like t-shirts and such on the floor but those are usually given away as promo not sold. [Link] |
