morbidthoughts All-Star Member Big cats scare me but... 3627 Posts 1/03	Posted - Oct 19 2009 : 7:19AM Haven't been able to do day by day posts of pictures because I have been staying out til 5am every night boozing it up with an assortment of friends. So here are some random (morbid) thoughts: Venus this year has shrunk incredibly in terms of the quality of exhibiting booths. Physically, the fair stretches over five large convention halls but I only traversed back and forth between two compared to last year where I had to wander between 4 to get all of the interesting shots. The American presence was very low but the ones who did represented as the strongest and most popular booth was clips4sale.com. I had met up with spokesmodel Ashley Fires on my flight connecting in Newark but that didn't prepare me for the antics that were to follow the next days as she and Bree Olson heavily worked the crowd being naked half of the time. Porno Dan, Jim Powers, and Joe of AMA also shot several sex scenes with Bree, Ashley, and some european girls at the booth which drove the crowd nuts. Thanks to Abe and Darius of clips4sale, maltedecker and I had access into the roped off booth to photograph some of the carnage and help out with security and giveaways. The attendees consisted mostly of dirty, smelly, and mean old German perverts that had me wishing I was surrounded by the cholos, thugs, and annoying but harmless old American perverts that come to Vegas and LA. Thanks also go to maltedecker for hooking us up with vip status (and free drinks) to numerous parties. His legend continued as he would make out with random porn stars out of the blue and take one or two home. He also managed to get Bree Olson off in a scene for a porno dan movie. He quipped "I think Bono One and Anime Nut are going to be jealous". The only action I got was from broads named Augustiner, Konig Ludwig, and Berliner. I would wake up every morning feeling guilty about cheating on my girl, Paulaner. I'll post more photos when I get home but enjoy this one from Bobbi Starr, Honey Winter, and Dana Dearmond. First, jealousy would imply that I've never had a similar experience with Bree. So what does that mean? I've already said too much. And yes, the crowd was terrible this year. I don't know what's wrong with Germans but this was pretty disgusting at times. Even listening to some of them made me wish to not understand German. Sometimes it's hard to tell ahead of time which ones are going to be cool and which ones are going to be way overwhelming. And not for nothing, when a person knows that they're going to be in a warm room with hundreds or thousands of other people, it's not a bad idea to shower daily. Sometimes it gets a little much when you have to hold your breath when your giving a fan a hug because they smell really bad. I'm sure that's not exclusive to fans of just porn though. I went to book signing for a non-porn genre book where there were some pretty out there fans of the author. :) It wasn't even a crazy popular author like Stephen King or Rowling or anyone like that. If they were to be naked and alcohol was available, which it technically is at the door, the sheer amount of nudity would probably cause an uglier environment than in Berlin or Barcelona (yes it got ugly at times there too). I think it's weird that we have some beautiful girls here and are shooting a lot of porn but most of it is just for the German market. Just meeting the girls here is already different compared to most other girls. I don't really know what it is but it's weird. Just walking over from the joyfactor thing after talking to some German friends of mine to Girlfriends films and talking to Dana and Bobbi felt like entering a different world. I can't really describe it (and am probably lacking the vocabulary), but most US girls are just way more open/outgoing(?) and simply present(?)... I don't know, the German thing just feels small compared to the international porn scene. And some last thoughts on the crowd here. I know it is bad but I think compared to last year people were not as drunk and rude, most of them were rather standing there taking pictures and not saying or doing anything. But I guess it's always the most negative things that get remembered first...
