I defintely will try to go next year. Will probably go alone since the people I went with this year were sort of a drag. They weren't that much into the Expo, and they basically altered my CES plans (if you've been there before, you know that you need to maximize your time since there's so much to see). I didn't get any autographs this year cause the guys were bored and wanted to leave after 2 hours. Funny thing is today I brought my Ipod Touch to work, loaded with pictures and videos from AVN 'cause a couple of guy wanted to see them. The co-worker who went with me was excited to see the pictures, and I said "Dude, you were there!"
My hotel selection will be more of strategic location and cost than comfort/extravegance. Harrah's was decent so I may try that place again. Treasure Island is a good location since it's across from Venetion and usually has good rate a week or two before the convention. The downside is that it doesn't have a decent food court if you want to pick up something quick.
We did go to Treasures, a Steak House and Strip Club. An odd combination. Great steaks and great dances, heheh.

Anime: Thanks for clearing that up. How tall is Donald?? If I'm too tall he must be real small...
Tricia: I'm always a bit "careful" about all the friendly employees. Over here it's pretty much that the bosses force them to be friendly (smile all the time and shit like that) or kick them out. They even send them to "you need to service the customer and be happy all the time" seminars and that for a crappy wage. Of course I don't mean to project that on EA at all!!! But it's something I was wondering about in Vegas as basically everyone there was somewhat way more friendly than the people I meet in Germany.
I think I'm going to aim for Treasure Island or the Mirage next year. Although my stay at the Stratosphere is rather tempting as I can't complain about the room and payed like 55 bucks each night...

Actually I rode the bus. It was like 5 dollars for a 24hr ticket and it had stops directly at the Strat and the Venetian. I think they jacked up the prices to 7 dollars a day now. The ride takes around 45min though and you need to be pretty patient as the busdrivers are pretty laid back and tend to tell stories and wait up for everyone that is running to the stops...
If I can't get another good deal I'll try to get a room there again but riding the bus that long 4 times a day (although the last time after the circle was always worst...) is a bit of a pain in the ass.

The Deuce was 3 bucks a ride, $5 a day pass and now went up to $3 a ride and $7 a day pass. But now you can get a 3 day pass that is good on other routed like the Flamingo route and Tropicana route as well as the Deuce route.
Taking the Deuace takes forever to go anywhere along The Strip. I could walk and get to where I am going faster LOL. At least you can drink your "beverage" on the Deuce.

I was telling John about the porn people I know who've worked at Disney theme parks. Dana's the only one I know who's public about it though.

malte: Donald Duck is short. Really short. Like midget short. It's always bugged me how they never had a Kingdom Hearts Donald and Goofy at the parks. That would kick ass.
I never knew about Dana's cast member roots. For some reason, they never mentioned that when I went through Traditions class.
"If you need to point a guest in a certain direction, always use both your index and middle fingers together to point. This is the Disney point. Former cast member Dana DeArmond uses this gesture to finger her female costars in her many girl/girl scenes."

Yeah, cool. I'm already counting the days too... Sure, a roomie is always worth a consideration, let's just toss our mad-science work together once in a while and figure out what we can do.

Nope, that wasn't me. We met one night at the circle bar and talked a bit and I took a shot of you and John sat. night near the entrance of the venetian before you left for the awards.
But having oyu escort me to see Belladonna sounds like a great idea for next year...

And you looked a lot like the other guy. :)

I think I will try to encourage a couple of co-workers to go by next year. They seem to always like the pics I show them and now they seem to have the bug in thier ear about going next year.
I just show them pics of Marie Luv, Jada Fire, Briana Banks, the Vivid Girls and the Wicked Girls and they seem to be all 'Holy shit, I might have to check this thing out"

try to remember to keep checking the CES website (CESWEB.org) for special hotel rates. More than 1 hotel on the strip was offering "2-for-1" or "stay 2 nights get the 3rd free" deals.

Looks like I will book the Excalibur for 4 nights. Got a deal that is til the end of February 2010. Thu,Fri and Sat nights are listed at $71us, Sun is listed at $26us a night. This way I have a hold on the room and see if I can find a good priced seat sale for my flight come October.
