All in all, I'd say Skin Diamond is the one to beat ... she's put some years in, has never flagged, does it all, is smoking hot with wicked attitude and keen intelligence that shines through even when her face is covered in baby batter ... Maddy O'Reilly has turned the "innocent lass made depraved" image into a barn-burning onslaught of great scenes (the one with Rocco and Riley Reid is among the best I can remember in recent years). The "anal upgrade" has worked in her favor, bigtime. I really can't help myself, but Adriana Chechik obliterated porno in 2014: SHe was unstoppable and voracious and terrifying. I really wish I could pick Jada Stevens though because she's my favorite current performer. She just didn't have as strong of a year as the other contenders. Her year to win was back in 2013. She had just come off of an amazing, career defining year: Jada Stevens is Buttwoman, DP Fanatic, Gangbanged 5, Massive Facials 5, Pump My Ass Full Of Cum 3, and her all-time classic scene with Remy LaCroix in Remy. Unfortunately she was up against Asa Akira who was defintely due. The 2014 award would also have been well-deserved. Instead it went to Bonnie Rotten. Jada was robbed on that one. [Link]

I should add Kagney. Her comeback was a great thing for the world of porn, with so many retirements. Dani Daniels is a personal favourite, but without anal she can't compete. Same for Riley. The same for Romi, even if she did her anal debut in 2014. The best performers shouldn't take steps. My respects for Skin Diamond, Veruca James and Maddy O'Reilly, great great performers but not as great as the first ones. I'm not a big fan of Bonnie Rotten, Zoey Monroe, Dahlia Sky or Jodi Taylor, but maybe I change my mind in the future, I don't have time for so many pornstars. Chanel Preston could be a good winner. When I just go by what they've done this past year, I see three stars that standout amongst the rest: AJ Applegate, Maddy O'Reilly and Anikka Albrite.
