Right off the bat, I'd declare Abella Danger the favorite due in large part to the fact that she's had a showcase movie; I'm not sure if any of the others on this list have. Just a hunch on my part, but I've gotten the sense that having a showcase (or several) under your belt goes a long way in improving your chances of winning. [Link]

The general consensus used to be that you couldn't win Female Performer of the Year without doing those. Bonnie Rotten's the only one to do it in the past 15 years or so, and even she was consistently doing anal (and basically everything else you can do except the other thing). Edit: Looking it up, I think only 4 of the last 10 Best New Starlet winners were doing IR when they won (Brooklyn Lee, Remy Lacroix, Naomi, and I think Bree Olson). He was all over the place at the time, even in Russia. So I don't consider AVN seriously at all.
