Here are my thoughts Shyla Jennings: I don't think she should win as much as I love her. I think her rate of scenes went way down this year, but she may be the safe choice because of her name recognition and because I suspect the AVN's don't really pay that much attention genre. Jenna Sativa: She's been putting in work and cranking out a lot of high quality scenes. If it was just about the sex, then she's a shoe-in, but she's not the best actress. Bree Daniels: Has a real shot I think. She came back with a vengeance and has made a lot of good scenes this year. Prinzzess: A personal fave, but I don't think it will happen because she only works with Girlfriends Films. Riley Reid: She's maintained a good balance between G/G and B/G, and has won awards before, so I think she has a good shot. Who do you think should win or least be nominated?  [Link] |

Both outstanding g/g performers. I originally had Serena Blair as my favorite to win but when I went through Data 18 to make sure that they had not shot a b/g scene during the time period, I found that she really didn't shoot that much this year (about 10 scenes). I completely agree with Eva's choice for scene of the year. The AI scene with Serena and Celeste was my favorite g/g scene of the year. As for POTY, I believe that Jenna Sativa will be named GG Performer of the Year. Honestly, Shyla could be the winner every year due to acting ability and performance. However, Jenna has been by far the busiest g/g only performer this award year with numerous great performances. According to the Data 18 website, she has been in about 50 scenes this year compared to Darcie's 38, Kenna's 34 and Shyla's 32. Be careful with Data 18 though. They have a bug with their site that when you change pages it adds 20 to the scene count each time. [Link] |

The 2 that deserve to win in a tossup is between Jenna or Kenna James. I personally would want Prinzzess to win just for recognition for her overall body of work. I'll give a sports analogy. All the great players are so good that they inspire their team mates and make them perform better. This is Abigail Mac in any g/g scene; her sexuality is contagious, it spreads to her co-star(s) and it makes them up their game. I just watched her Girlsway scene with Samantha Rone & Hillary Scott. Damn it if that wasn't some of the hottest action that I've seen in a while.   I can't think of an all-girl scene starring Abigail that I haven't enjoyed. She always brings it! So if she can't win the real g/g performer of the year award then I must present Abigail Mac with SP Love's Girl/Girl Performer of the Year Award! Like no more than 50% b/g and no less than 50% g/g during a specific time period. It's not fair to penalize a performer who has consistently provided stellar girl-girl performances because they've decided to make more money and expand their career. According to iafd.com Abigail has done more girl-girl scenes this year than boy-girl scenes. If AVN believes as I do that she has had more remarkably strong girl-girl performances than any other performer in 2016 then I believe that she deserves the award. The G/G she has done wasn't much and wasn't memorable. Lily Cade - Lily's a legend, but not enough highly visible mainstream work done this year imo. Jayden Cole - Not that popular or memorable of a G/G performer. Darcie Dolce - She gets points for quantity and visibility, but her scenes lack passion. Plus she's about to start doing B/G. Val Dodds - Tends to fade into the background in scenes and become generic, and has also slowed down her output. Prinzzess Felicity Jade - A real contender; always great scenes with a large variety of women, but being in the Girlfriends bubble and formula might be an issue. Shyla Jennings - Always a favorite, and this year is no exception. This may be her best year of high quality "big" scenes. Jelena Jensen - Never disappoints, but she doesn't hog the spotlight and always works to elevate her partners which is great but might not cost her the win. Ryan Ryans - If she worked more consistently, would have been a shoe-in. Jenna Sativa - A passionate and authentic real lover of women. I can see her winning. Only issue is lack of acting ability, but no one comes close to her raw sexual energy. Celeste Star - She's done some great work this year, but it's mostly been with Girlsway and fairly recently. Maybe if it was "G/G performer of the last few months" Charlotte Stokely - Dark Horse contender. Her name isn't the 1st to come up when you think G/G but she can compete with anyone in sex and acting. Tanya Tate - She's great, but the other contenders are too strong this year. Vanessa Veracruz - Vanessa was going strong, but after the fallout with Shyla and others, she stuck to her own site and Girlfriends films, which I think will knock her out of the running. So my top picks are: Shyla Jennings Jenna Sativa Prinzzess I think they might play it safe and give it to Shyla which you really can't argue against. But I really think Jenna is the next Shyla Jennings and should be recognized. But I also wouldn't mind Prinzzess getting some recognition for her years of excellent G/G work. Snubs (Who also should/could of have been nominated) Elle Alexandra - A true top tier G/G performer, can't believe she wasn't nominated. Karlie Montana - Same as Elle, Karlie should always be in the conversation when it comes to G/G. Kenna James - I'm surprised not to see her name. She's still G/G only and did some great work this year. Serena Blair - Her performance in AI alone should have gotten her the nomination. But she also did other great work for Girlsway and All Girl Massage. Sasha Heart - Always overlooked, but she did great work with a variety of G/G companies this year. Mindi Mink - Overlooked imo, did a lot of solid G/G work. Could have replaced Tanya Tate on the list. [Link] |

Jayden Cole- looks great, solid performer, doesn't work enough. Darcie Dolce-not my 1st choice, but a reasonable nominee. Val Dodds-looked incredible in dress at AVN last year, no other good reason to be a choice. Prinzzess Felicity Jade-deserves a lesbian lifetime achievement award, but not g/g performer of the year. Shyla Jennings-OK with her, but thought her best performances were a few years ago. Jelena Jensen- no real opinion on her, not a fan. Ryan Ryans- good performer who is often in some form of retirement. Jenna Sativa-would make the most sense, but had an even better year last year. Celeste Star-made sense as a choice about 4-5 years ago. Charlotte Stokely-reasonable nominee, tepid performer. Tanya Tate- if they are going the mommy route, but wouldn't be my choice. Vanessa Veracruz- haven't noticed her as much lately, reasonable nominee. [Link] |
