Don't forget, VCRs became popular in the 1980s--and porn product increased a hundred-fold. People began watching porn at home, not going down to a shitty part of town to the Pussycat Theater. In the 1980s you had black studs like Billy Dee, FM Bradley, Ray Victory--who weren't around in the 1970s. In the Blacks and Blondes, you have to careful because sometime along the road they repackaged the series and mixed everything up and but used the same name and numbering; so there is the original 30 minute version along with the 2 hour version that use the same title. Then sometime after another studio purchase a lot of them like series 20-31 and never release it out. The original Blacks and Blondes ran into the 60s volumes if I remember right. Only the movie was every release on to DVD. The 2 hour series were compilations of the original only they took scenes randomly not sequentially. You did not know what you were getting at all! Who every purchase the rights to Western Visual should try to release them back to DVD. I am sure there would be a tremendous demand since they were very well done. [Link] |

However as you get into the early 80's you begin to see girls who would not work with black performers except Billy Dee etc. In the late 80's IR gained more popularity and more girls started doing IR and today most girls do but still I think the percentage is slightly lower than the 70's.
