Just wondering if anyone else caught the article on Missy and her husband in this month's (May) GQ. Written by frequent GQ contributer Tom Junod, it is an in-depth 10 page feature piece, complete with stylish B&W photos. Junod focuses on the peculiar dynamics of a "porn marriage". What are the limits of their relationship? Can their even be limits once marriage and pornography are fused? Rather than moralizing, or, worse, expressing pity as a thin veil for contempt, he does a fantastic job showing us the human side of Missy (real name Maria), and her husband of just over 3 1/2 years, former emergency room nurse Michael Wilkins (Porn performer Mickey G). Necessarily the story is as much about porn as about love or marriage or Maria and Michael, and it does make for a good read.
Some interesting things:
-Missy and her husband live in a small house in Topanga Canyon. -They have a Yorkshire terrier named Pebbles and a white Persian house cat named Sasha -Both Missy and Michael come off as genuine, although there is something unsettling about them - the word "damaged" comes to mind. -Missy believes in angels, and thinks she exists as an angel. -Missy is 27 (10 years younger than her husband), 5' 3", and describes herself as "stocky". -She drives a white Chevy Geo. -She defines love as "everything". -She grew up north of L.A., lonely and shy, "afraid to walk out the front door". -She had many stepbrothers and stepsisters, and sometimes her mother would sternly call her, "Missy". -Her parents have disowned her and forbidden anyone in the family to have contact with her. Needless to say, they don't like Michael. -Michael has been married twice before, and he left his second wife when his second child, a girl, was born a brain-damaged deaf, dumb, blind quadriplegic. -Michael never gets jealous regarding his wife. -Rocco Siffredi once slapped her and beat her butt so hard it was bruised for a month. Michael was there. -Michael and Missy use Robert Black's work as an example of what they wouldn't do, referring to the scene in Shooting Gallery where Cort Knee is thrown headfirst in a garbage can and fucked in the ass. It is unclear whether writer Junod knows that Missy has been in Black's videos. -Michael and Missy went to Japan to do a hardcore bondage video, the details of which are *very* disturbing, in order to find some sort of end, or limit, to the sexual journey they had embarked on.

She was married to Mickey G. years ago - they divorced, Missy moved away. Mickey G. dated Lola for a while, she dumped him too, eventually he disappeared too.
That GQ interview must have been made around 1998 or so.
Missy is long gone, and on a happier, healthier path now. I wish her all the best. She was softspoken, sweet and downright wonderful.

Yep, he was on KSEX a few months back. Didn't hear it, but read the breakdown of it on I believe AdultFYI.
What I do remember was him saying that the reason Missy stopped making films was because she didn't want to grow old in front of the camera, and she wanted to leave with people remembering how she looked in her prime.
Sounds like a big stretch from the holy conversion. But I wouldn't expect any less from an ex-husband who I imagine she was trying to remove herself from.
Missy did indeed become very religious and leave porn. She wrote a letter to AVN a few years back I do believe saying as much.
For those of you that never met her you might be surprised but for those of us who had it wasn't that big of a shock. Missy may have been wild in front of the camera but in public she was extremely shy. Some would use the phrase "painfully" shy.
I am glad she has found something that makes her feel fulfilled. We should all be so lucky.
Missy was awesome. One of my favorites in the 90's. She always seemed to be into the sex. Plus she frequently wore nylons... and I am a nylon kinda guy.

I think it good that Missy does not put down the x-rated business. At least she is not one of the Christians who becomes self rightious and condemns people that are sexually promiscuous. On May 27th, I was watching Scarborough Country. Steve Baldwin and Jennifer Giroux (of SeeThePassion.com) were on the show. Baldwin was nodding his head in agreement with Giroux until she put down Rosie O'Donnell. Steve didn't express disagreement with Jennifer but he didn't say anything negative about O'Donnell himself. I have noticed that when Giroux is on TV defending Passion of the Christ, she personally attacks people that criticize the movie. Giroux represents the kind of Christians that the movie "Saved" satirizes. A Manager, at the video store where I work, went to a baptist school and he says it was like the movie "Saved." The school was trying to brainwash people. Going on the basis of Missy's letter, she sounds brainwashed but she still comes across as a nice person.
