Hardware All-Star Member Your other left 14594 Posts 3/02	Posted - Jul 18 2004 : 5:48PM I signed up for a non-recurring membership at India's online site today and thought I'd share my experience with ya'll, by way of a letter I sent to the web master: Hello IndiasPlayouse webmaster, I just got a membership to www.indiasplayhouse.com and I wanted to say that, although I'm happy with some of the nice photo shoots available, I'm disappointed by the overall state of the site. I'm disappointed that the "Tour" pages say that the site has the complete sets of several photo shoots depicted, however upon gaining access I found that there are only a few shots from each set, a problem with other galleries as well. I found it odd that the "Sparkle" photo set contained two sets of the same 17 images, the only difference between them being that the second set was out of focus in the slide show. Furthermore, there are several broken links on the members page, as well as in the photos pages. Here's one: link removed by me since it is in the pay area Click on any pic on this page and you'll see what I mean. I know that you've got an "I'm revamping" notice up, but revamping isn't the same as using misleading promotions, not fixing broken stuff and having skimpy galleries. You revamp offline and only make changes when it's good to go. The "Tour" claimed that there was video shot exclusively for this site, however it appears that the only such videos are a "Welcome" from India herself and two interviews. Perhaps I'm overly critical, but these hardly live up to the expectations set by the Tour page, which shows India 'in action,' however briefly. Also, while I applaud the fact that the video feeds are available for different download speeds, they are only available as RAM files (requiring Real Media Player). Since I don't have that player and don't intend to ever use it, that does me no good. Perhaps you should consider encoding the feeds in alternate formats for the members' convenience. Having met India at this year's Expo, I think she's a very nice lady. I suspect that if she knew the state of "her" site she'd be disappointed by the lack of proper maintenance. Again, let me say that I'm happy with some of the things I've found, but the site isn't nearly as professional as a paying site should be. Too many ways to be ripped off or mistreated. If a Pornstar or a website want my money they better put out reasonably priced mainstream DVD's & Videos, because they won't be getting a monthly or yearly credit card payment from me. At any rate, the number one rule in dealing with Internet porn sites is never go in without knowing how you're going to get out. My preferred method is to get a non-recurring subscription. Failing that, I make sure I know exactly how to go about cancelling a subscription before enrolling. If a site says you can cancel at any time but it isn't readily apparent how you go about doing that then my advice is don't join in the first place. [Link]
