The big difference is that these stores are not Hollywood Video, or some corporation 100% focused on their Initial Public Offering. Chances are most adult DVD retailers are not going to go public so they have to focus on building a solid business. Without repeat customers they are nothing. The customer service from all of the stores above will exceed your expectations. And if not please let us know. I have not personally shopped at every one of them (but I plan to.) I have spoken with the owners of the companies -who all are very committed to customer service. So please give 'em a shot and give us the scoop.  [Link] |

A couple of times I've bought an adult dvd and got it home only to discover that it sucked or was not what it was advertised to be. Divadee is a great site, but their only-unopened-returns policy means I probably won't buy anything on impulse since 99% of the adult dvds I've seen are utter crap. At least when I rent one at the local video store I've blown maybe $3.50 at the most. IF prices for adult dvds were lower, or IF I could return a movie I hated for another title then I wouldn't mind as much. Froppy [Link] |

I hope that we can all steer each other toward the best adult DVDs -and save everyone from wasting their money on crap. Also if there are some adult DVDs that you would like to see on sale please let me know and I'll see what I can do (the retailers on ADT want to work with us on specialty sales.) I agree that too much adult DVD product on the market is overpriced. Fortunately, we can expect prices to drop as more DVD players are sold and the market gets bigger. 2. There are some excellent deals available right now on adult DVDs. For example, at Five Star DVD we offer an entire line (RAW) for under $12 and shortly we'll be adding another line, which will be even cheaper. Many of the other advertisers on ADT also run special sales and offer coupons to help lower your cost. 3. Even if you do find a good price, it can be frustrating if the DVD sucks. The best solution for that problem is to be an educated consumer. Use sites like ADT as a tool to find out which DVDs to avoid and which ones are REALLY worth the money. When ADT starts running online reviews this will become even easier. Also, don't be afraid to ask for a recommendation. I have noticed that the members of this forum are very eager to share their opinions. [Link] |

Cripes, charge a small fee to discourage whim returns. Froppy PS To those who are gonna post and say the no returns policy discourages piracy I say thwap yourself with a wet carp. Copying a DVD is theoretically possible, but the amount of time, media cost, and equipment required makes it prohibitive. Who would pay $3 shipping both ways plus a $2.50 restocking fee just to pirate a DVD. [Link] |
