I really don't get it. I've humbled myself and gotten up at 6 in the morning and spent long days cleaning parking lots at crappy shopping malls, then worked on term papers, and then gone to another job (which was great fun but paid very litte), all so I could enjoy a beer or two with my tunafish sandwich. I was 22. I always had a place to go, but often crashed on friends couches. But back then there was no Internet, and we used these things called "typewriters."

I didn't post this message in order to solicit funds or popular support for "a Half-Way House for aspiring but somehow homeless porn starlets." My point in posting this message was to illustrate -- straight from the source -- that the life of your average, everyday, porn performer may not be so easy and glamorous as people might like to imagine.

That's not to say that Cynara can't go out and get a "day job" like the rest of us. Obviously, she can (and perhaps should -- her call).

Does anyone know definitively if she is still under contract to JKP? I wonder because at this point, I think her best bet would be to start doing anal and to do a bunch of scenes in a short period of time so she can build up some savings and put herself in a position where she can start thinking rationally about her career, etc., which is probably not possible if JKP limits what she can do. But she's probably not smart enough to do that anyway. My sense is that most porn chicks live pretty much day to day, which, as I suggested above, is why they are working in porn in the first place.

I will say this...

The biggest advantage a porn star can have is to be in a stable relationship and have solid business advice and coaching from someone else; without those it can be tough.

This is a business where men can't wait to meet and would die to fuck you, but the second they "date" you they can't deal with what you do and want you to quit. This is a business where you are vulnerable because you open yourself up in a way other people never have to. This is a business that some people understand and some people don't.

Try not to judge too much until you really know what you are judging. :) Not that many of you where... I understand what you were saying.

I have never met Cynara, but she is more than welcome to come and use one of my computers and network connection any time she wants to post to her fans.

I really admire how hard she has tried to communicate with them- don't you? Some girls don't get that. They see fans as an annoyance. I don't understand that. Fans are who make a girl a star or doom her to a dying career. Shouldn't the girl take the time to talk to the very people who make her who she is??? I get that. It is obvious Cynara does - and I respect her very much for that.

As far as Australian porn stars - the biggest ever was Jodie Moore Don't forget Monica Mayhem. Those are two VERY beautiful women.

As far as skronker's "half-way house".... I am actually seriously considering buying a overly large house with plenty of bedrooms that I can rent exclusively to porn stars.

The tough thing for new porn stars is that many of them starting out have a hard time with credit because: a) they are young; b) they haven't established any; c) they are not employees and have no verifiable steady income; d) the "porn" stigma.

Also, many porn girls are flying into LA from other parts of the country of 2-6 weeks of shooting. Then they are off for home. When I first came to LA and was looking for a place to stay, we stayed at a hotel where there was almost 100 porn girls staying there. It is famous for them. (Not going to tell you which one - don't ask! LOL)

I think it would be cool to have a great house where girls can stay when they come into LA for a night or three weeks. A place where there are permanent girls staying there as well.

It helps when you are have friends in the business that understand and accept what you do- and can relate to it. It helps when you don't have to stay at a hotel or try to convince a small-minded apartment manager (who you probably make 5 times what they make) that you are a good enough person to be allowed to rent this apartment.

Still just a thought in mind, but I am starting to get serious more serious about it. If other porn girls read this site - let me know what you think about that.
