I have decided to start this thread to use as a personal journey through the many scenes that I watch and analyze. I view porn as an entertainment medium such as many view film, music, literature, etc. and I love discussing scenes in detail, but that is much harder to do with people I know unlike the other "mainstream" media forms. Just to give you an idea, I will analyze scenes based on the 5 components that I look for when I am watching a scene: 1.) The Setup (Setting, dialogue, etc.)- This is the scene or fantasy that the director is creating for the viewer. A good setup should make the viewer excited and anxious to see what happens next. 2.) The Star- Is the pornstar into the scene? does she fit the setting? Does her appearance and personality get the viewer excited? 3.) The Performance- This is where I rate the overall performance of the star for the scene, is she just going through the motions and not giving much effort? Or is she really into it allowing the viewer to be entertained? 4.) Pacing/Editing- This is a main component that I look for, does the scene ever drag and get boring? Are the performers changing positions and keeping the viewer interested for the duration of the scene? 5.) Cinematography- How does the overall scene look? How are the camera angles, close-ups, tracking shots, etc? If you are still reading, good job you get a star! After analyzing the 5 components, I award the scene an individual rating using a 5-point system with 1/2 points, so actually its a 10-point system but just a scale of 5 like so: Tier 1 (Elite) 5: One of the greatest scenes I have watched (Personal favorite, HIGHLY Recommended) 4-4.5: Amazing scene, will make my favorites list. (HIGHLY Recommended) Tier 2 3-3.5: Good, solid scenes that are enjoyable. Not Tier 1 but scenes that I do enjoy 2-2.5: Average scenes that just seem to miss the mark, not bad but not good either. Tolerable Tier 3 1-1.5: Bad scene, not recommended I will also use the OP to keep track of favorite scenes, favorite stars, and overall ratings/rankings. Feel free to comment, recommend a scene or even add your own scene reviews/ratings. Just know that this is more of a journal, so we may not always agree on a scene or have the same tastes but that is why they make so many different types of porn :) I will begin to add some scenes tomorrow. Most of the time they will be random scenes that I have downloaded and own, or sometimes I may get stuck on a certain star or niche. Kendra Lust is the lonely housewife who is greeted at the door by Criss Strokes and Jules Jordan who happen to be selling magazines in her neighborhood. After some brief and predictable dialogue, Kendra invites them into the house and eventually upstairs. This is a character that Kendra Lust is obviously well suited to portray, from the moment she opens the door we are greeted by her radiant smile and personality that demands the viewer's attention. There is approximately 5 minutes of dialogue and setup before she propositions the two men, the conversation never stalls and it moves along at a nice smooth pace building up the scene nicely for the viewer. Kendra Lust Kendra is a very sexy woman and she fits this scenario very well, she is dressed in a professional outfit that does not show the viewer much of her body but makes the buildup that much better as we anxiously wait for the scene to progress. She begins to tease Criss and Jules by lifting up her skirt, showing off her terrific ass which they admire as we do, then they help her remove the rest of her clothing showing off her beautiful body. Kendra is very much in command of this scene from the beginning and at this point we know we will be in for a treat. Performance Kendra turns in a very nice and consistent performance in this scene, she has such a terrific camera presence and is in control the entire time. This scene works well because she can handle her own with Criss and Jules and she really seems to enjoy herself throughout the scene. It really is fun to watch her handle the two men at the same time, she does a great job of servicing both of them. It is a very memorable and enjoyable performance from start to finish. Pacing/Editing The pacing is really good in this scene, it flows at a solid and consistent pace and the performers never get bogged down in one position for too long as they are switching up quite nice, showing off a variety of different styles and positions. The entire scene is approximately 37:13 but it never really feels that long because the pacing is so smooth. Cinematography In a scene where the performers are changing up positions quite often, the camerawork is very good in this scene. For the majority of the scene all 3 performers are shot in medium long focus and are all centered nicely in the frame allowing an excellent vantage point of all the action. The close-ups are done very well, allowing the viewer to experience Kendra's body in a variety of situations. Throughout the course of the scene, Kendra is the main subject and the camera focuses on her very nicely. Overall, this is a very enjoyable scene from start to finish. There is not much of a setup here, it is mainly just a conversation between her and the cameraman but there are some nice closeup shots of Amy's killer body. She stands up and exposes her amazing breasts and does a good job of teasing for the camera before she eventually makes her way upstairs where Jerry and Travis are anxiously waiting for her. The buildup and tease takes about 6 minutes, but it does not feel like wasted time because it allows the viewer to get embrace Amy before the scene continues. AMY REID: This is an older scene, and features a young looking Amy Reid who may have one of the best bodies in the entire industry during this era. She is wearing tight jeans, with a small pink top that contrasts perfectly against her smooth, tanned skin. She does not provide the viewer with a lot in terms of dialogue or acting but she does most of the talking with her body. PERFORMANCE: Once Travis and Jerry get their hands on Amy, they run their hands all over her, caressing and kissing her softly while slowly undressing her before rubbing oil all over her tight little body. Amy does a nice job in this scene, her performance does seem a little generic in the beginning but she does pick it up as the scene goes along and gets more into it. She really isn't in control of the scene as they move from position to position and the chemistry is lacking between the 3 performers. But like I said, the scene does pick up towards the end and gets quite hot. Pacing/Editing: Overall the pacing is consistent as the performers switch up multiple positions and never stay in one spot for too long. The pacing keeps the viewer's attention and makes for an enjoyable scene. Cinematography: The main subject in this scene is Amy, and the camera never lets you forget it. They rely on a lot of close and medium shots where Amy is the focal point on the screen, despite cutting the male performers out of the frame for most of the scene. There are some really nice shots of Amy's body here in great positions that will keep the viewer entertained. There are also some close-ups that pan out into a medium shot very nicely. You don't get a ton out of the setting or background but you will definitely get some great shots of Amy. Overall, this is a good solid scene that is enjoyable and entertaining throughout. It is apparent from the dialogue that the two have had sexual relations in the past, and while Elsa is ready to relive old memories her stepdad Marcus is not. He attempts to resist her seduction but we quickly find out that Elsa is not a girl that takes "no" for an answer. There isn't a ton of buildup here since the two characters are familiar with each other and have already been intimate in the past, and this is evident during their initial meeting. Before we know it they are upstairs in bed and he has fallen victim to Elsa's seduction attempt. ELSA JEAN: Elsa has really made a name for herself in the industry, she is a cute girl with a seemingly nice personality that shows up in her scenes. Here she is introduced wearing a very cute outfit of short shorts and a blue tank top that leaves her stomach exposed. She is also wearing blue panties and bra that is just as hot. She does a good job with the dialogue that was given to her, and plays the role of a seductive girl wanting to fuck stepdaddy well. PERFORMANCE: The performance is good and consistent throughout the scene, Elsa seems very comfortable in front of the camera and it shows here. The chemistry between the two performers is pretty good, there is a lot of kissing and touching in the beginning as if they are familiar with each others bodies. There is also good deal of oral to begin the scene which transitions into some decent action. Elsa does not bring a lot to the scene, she seems pretty relaxed but there is some nice hard fucking while she is riding him cowgirl. PACING: The pacing is pretty solid, the scene starts off rather slow as the two performers allow the anticipation to build through kissing and mutal touching, but it does pick up after a few minutes. Once it picks up and they begin having intercourse, the pacing pretty much stays that way the rest of the scene, it never seems to really hit a "peak". CAMERA: There is not a lot of camera movement in this scene, for the majority it stays in a medium shot focused on Elsa on the bed. There is a slow panning shot towards the end but for the most part the camera is stationary and does not provide a lot of different angles. There is a closeup shot of the creampie at the end. There is no dialogue or any type of setup in this scene, we are just quietly asked to observe Shay as she workouts. There are plenty of shots showing off her body while she slides down on an ab roller, topless hip thrusts and knocks out some deadlifts. We get a great look at her and it is very exciting. SHAY EVANS: Shay is a busty girl with a nice small body and she looks great in her small workout outfit as she teases the camera and the viewer. She is listed as 5'0 and 90lbs with a 32D-22-29 frame. PERFORMANCE: This is the first scene that I have seen of Shay, and she left quite an impression on me. There is a lot to like here as she displays great energy and a solid camera presence throughout this scene. She is small but she makes up for it with effort and intensity. There is a good chemistry between the two performers and they both seem to really get into it, especially as the scene goes along. They switch to multiple positions throughout the scene and each one is simply entertaining to watch. Shay seems to really enjoy herself, as she squirts a couple times throughout. PACING: This scene starts off pretty fast but it is able to maintain that level of energy throughout, the pacing is consistent as they are constantly switching and moving around giving the viewer a lot of different looks. CINEMATOGRAPHY: The Camera work here is excellent, Director Pat Mynes does an amazing job. From the intro throughout the final moments of this scene, the viewer is allowed to view the action from a variety of shots including: overhead, high angle, close-ups, medium long shots, and medium shots. For the most part both performers are perfectly framed in the scene but he is not afraid to pan in and out on certain parts. I also really liked the white room they were in, it made for a nice aesthetic background in which to frame the performers. RATING: 4/5 BUSTY WORKOUT ADT- TRAILER! This is a really strong performance from Riley as she is able to take on the two seasoned veterans from start to finish. There is a lot of energy in this scene and they are able to maintain that pace the entire time. Riley is great and is just fun to watch as she services both men orally before they take turns stuffing her tight, bald pussy. There are some very nice camera angles that show her being double stuffed. Riley never appears to be overwhelmed and maintains a strong camera presence throughout. Overall, this is just an entertaining scene to watch, all the performers appear to bring out the best in each other and they all seem to be enjoying themselves.
