I was wondering if any of you have had trouble with Five Star sending bits a pieces of orders and charging multiple times for the privilege?

Well, something really funny happened to me today. After waiting for an order for 7 disks, I got this large box through the post. Now, this box was of such a size that I thought, "Yipee, my whole order's here!"

But just imagine my amazement to find only 2 DISKS inside, with the rest of the massive box taken up with polystyrene! And just imaging my equal dismay to find that I'd been charged $37 for the postage of these 2 disks!!!

Is it in Five Star's nature to send bits and pieces of orders and charging large amounts each time they send a bit of your order?!

Has anyone else had this done to them, or is it just a fluke?

Not sure what went wrong. I always use the Global Priority Mail shipping option with no problem.

So far they have shipped all my DVD's at the same time in one envelope with just the covers and discs and they only charged me once for the shipping and it was not that expensive as you paid for just 7 DVD's.

I used "Global Express" myself. On my invoice that I received inside the box it noted the other 5 disks that I ordered, but they hadn't been included inside the box, despite the fact that at least some of them were in stock last time I looked.

But it's not so much that that is getting my dander up, but rather being charged large amounts every time I have a bit of my order sent to me! I can tell you something, this never happened when I used to pay by money order!

Mojo-

Please try emailing me directly with such an inquiry next time you have a question such as this.

We charged you for the items shipped (2 items) and in full for the shipping fees of all the items in the order. When the backorders come into stock they will be shipped to you at NO additional shipping fee via global express. We do not charge for the product cost of a backorder item until they ship. Thus, we shipped ahead the in stock titles at no additional fee so that you will get them as soon as possible.

I apoligize, but the past two posts you made in the forum were not accurate as to our service; furthermore, one topic was heavily edited by you. I also believe that a moderator warned you on the last two posts.

For me to provide the best service possible, emailing me directly with such inquiries is the easiest method for response.

Thanks!

I would if I could easily get an answer.
Ahhh, now that's what made me bring up this topic in the first place! Sorry, but the invoice came across as if it was just charging shipping for the items sent.
edited?! I didn't do any editing of any topics? (???)
I was just bringing up conversation with other users, just like I've seen MANY other users doing in the past. No crime there.
Like I said, I'd E-mail you if I could easily get an answer.

Mojo, clearly your memory is not good - Scipio already ticked you off! I believe Ethan has more than answered your question and I am delighted that your troubles have been sorted out. However, I don't see any reason to lock this topic, as that would prevent Ethan from responding any further to your comments, although it seems he has already addressed the issue.

To all readers, please contact retailers first and make sure you give them ample opportunity to respond to your emails before using these forums to complain, especially allowing for time difference. Please ensure any complaints are accurate and please refrain from editing posts in a manner that alters the sense of a thread. Thanks!

I do leave plenty of time. I normally leave about a day. I also understand about the time difference. If I'm right, the time difference between Europe and Arizona is about 5-8 hours. I do my message up in the evening and check my box in the morning. And if I don't hear anything, then I wait until the next evening (or longer) before bringing things up here.
I only edit for grammar and spelling mistakes. I try to be as accurate in all my posts as I can, right down to spelling and punctuation, because I'm not very good at typing and I easily make simple mistakes that I don't notice until I've posted my message. But I never knowingly try to mislead people by changing the meaning of my messages.

EDIT: Oh yes, and if I want to ad something to the message that I forgot.

Mojo, as you've been told time and time again, while this forum is for discussion for International porn shoppers it is not a replacement for email correspondance with retailers . One or two days is not a "reasonable" time to wait for an email reply before posting here. A week is more reasonable from an initial email and you'll find a followup email can also work wonders.

Now that you've been told that a week is a reaonable time to wait before posting CS issues here I really don't want to see any more of these substitute-for-email posts from you on here, without you waiting a week for an email reply. Just to clarify, in case you "forget" again, 2 days does not = a week. 3 days does not = a week.

I hate to lay down arbitrary rules like this when commonsense should suffice, but after seeing you still argue the point after Steph, Gabriel and myself have all told you it's not on only days apart it's obvious that commonsense is not working.

Fivestar also has their own forum, which you can find here and they also have their own Customer Service section of their forum. Since these are Fivestar's own forums, I expect that Ethan et al would check those forums more often than ADT.

sonyse2t5, I'm looking specifically at you on this point.

Hopefully I've been clear enough with this post.
