Well, there's a girl I wanted to see do some hardcore, she was supposed to shoot for my content company last week and the week before that, of course she flaked both times. Bitch.

The only company I know of that she has shot hardcore for is VIVID so I decided to check out VIVID's paysite, vivid.com. First, if you are a VIVID fan this is a FANFUCKINGTASTIC website. Literally their entire library of movies old to new available in streaming broadband video. Updated all the time.

So I started clicking on a whole bunch of movies - all the negative things I said about 'feature' style porn - I WAS BEING KIND, THIS STUFF IS SO BAD I HAVE NO IDEA HOW ANYBODY, MALE OR FEMALE, CAN STOMACH 2 MINUTES OF IT. IT'S BAD PORN, BAD MOVIE MAKING - ok, i'll stop shouting - what i saw was much worse than I remembered, i haven't seen a VIVID movie in probably 8 years. I'm not saying every movie i briefly checked out was horrid, I think they do a super special line on film or something and there looked to be a few others that were ok BUT 9 out of the 10 vids I looked at were simply cheesey and embarassing from every aspect - the sex scenes were so unerotic, so fake, so weak, unwatchable in my opinion. Somebody is watching this stuff, gotta be people who don't know any better or have guilt feelings about watching real hardcore pornography.

I gotta give it to Hirsch, that he has been able to create a mystique to the VIVID brand and gain all this mainstream attention is a big feat. I have seen some Wicked videos, Adam and Eve, other feature producers and they were superior to VIVID. Every VIVID movie looked like mindless
fast food franchise porn - they should rename VIVID McPorno. The VIVID Girls themselves - plastic, if you scraped off the three inches deep of makeup, not that beautiful at all - sexually they are Stepford pornstars - this Savannah chick they signed off the Howard Stern show fame - there hasn't been a performer this wooden since Pinnochio! badda bing bada boom

This little scouting mission reaffirmed to me that the only reason feature studios exist today and are profitable is that the cable, satellite, and PPV operators aren't ready to unleash balls to the wall gonzo to their customers....... YET. It will happen, Bush and Ashcroft will be gone in a year or so. The dogs will be called off and sooner than later gonzo will become more and more prevalent on cable and satellite.
