As a fan of porn and watcher, I wholeheartedly do not want Measure B to come into fruition. It will cripple the industry. The industry is already crippled because of torrents and tube sites, but let's be honest, who actually pays for porn anymore? Many claim that Measure B infringes on free speech and forces the performers to do things that they do not want to do. Many also claim that the industry is relatively safe and that it's actually more and better to have sex with a porn performer because of how often they test but that's not really close to the truth. 1. You can get a test done at the beginning of the month and it'll say that you're clean, but you then go and have sex in between your next scheduled shoot and now that test is invalid. You should just throw it away. 2. I believe the biggest reason that Measure B will be passed is because of the escorting. I'll be the first to admit that I'd never pay for sex or pay for sex with a pornstar [because I believe that sex with a pornstar is highly overrated and most stars are desensitized to sex]. Everyone knows that the majority of pornstars, male and female, escort. From Pamela Peaks to the Luxury Company to Speigler to Body Miracle and many more, sex is rampant and you cannot claim it to be safe from STDs and STIs when everyone is having sex whether it be from escorting or from feature dancing. There's so much more involved then just sex and lawsuits. What the drugs? What about actually finding a job or an employer that will hire you once you're finish and that's if you do. What about having a healthy, happy relationship after porn because is close to being non-existent. I have noticed that a lot of female performers have pets. I don't want Measure B to be passed but it seems inevitable. Vivid and many others can sue and file lawsuits, but I don't see an outcome where it ends in the industry's favor.
