If you have 2 tape decks (and, um, some non-copyrighted porn with anal in it) you can copy the tape or alternatively record the dvd but edit out the anal scenes. It’s not perfect and takes a bit of time but might help.

I think realistically Private would be the last company to offer such a theme since I don't recall a single video they've done that doesn't have several anal scenes. But overall, I think that there are enough anal themed series and companies that there's room in the industry for something different.

Porn is shaped by fads: blowjobs, gangbangs, creampies, and so on...anal is one of them. I don't think that it will go away, but I don't think you'll see such a heavy emphasis on anal in the future. As soon as everyone is doing anal, then people will get bored and look for the next kink.

Oo, I too, would like to see a movie with the exotic locations and beautiful women of Private without the anal. While I like the Private DVDs I've seen, it seems that you can find what you're looking for from another company. Maybe someone has some idea where to look?

Actually, I would argue that the decline in anal has already begun. John Leslie's latest movies have far less anal than even his titles from 18 months ago. I mean The Voyeur 19 & 20 and Fresh Meat 12 in particular.
Christoph "the long black glove goes up her ass" Clark also has started giving prominent roles to actresses who don't do anal, even in his Hardball line. Think of Monica Moore and Sheila Scott in particular.
The Nachoribas movies such as Killer Pussy and Hardcore Innocence often have girls who do anal in other movies but are allowed to pass on it for them.
And consider Vince Vouyer, who mixes his directing among various lines. While one is Straight to the A about exclusively anal, he also has Internally Yours, which is all vaginal creampies.
I suspect the directors and performers simply get bored at having everything be all anal all the time. When you can't be sure if a scene will include anal, it becomes special when it does. And I say this as someone who enjoys watching anal scenes. But as I pointed out on a related thread, if an actress will give a better performance when not required to do anal, then I'm all for that.
I almost forgot, consider "all anal, all the time" Extreme Associates, where Tom "Lord of Asses" Byron has launched the Operation Just Cooze no-anal line. I think things are reaching a good balance, where there is plenty of anal available for those who want it, and also less anal in titles not specifically devoted to the subject.

I am not sure how the adult industry can do market research on this. I guess they just stick to what sells, and this leaves companies like Private in a quandary about going "legit" (which may mean softer, or anal free movies) or continuing to appeal to their customers who desire anal, DPs etc. Their MD, Berth Milton jr, is desperate to appeal to a mainstream "legitimate" audience and talks as much about "lifestyle" and other such buzzwords as he does about the sexual content of Private movies.

I don't see why these should be thought of as mutually exclusive customer bases or why either a company like Private, or more broadly an industry such as the adult video biz, can't cater to all desires. It's clear that niche marketing has been very successful. Maybe it's time for them to pick up on a new niche, hey, anal free porn! Wouldn't that be original?

Saki, I don't consider anal to be a fad like some of the other topics. It's a preference, but it's always been there as far back as I can remember. If you mean things are in and out of vogue in a cycle, then I take your point.
