When deciding to post I figured this would be the proper board to post on. I must say for the past two years I've decided to get into the Adult Film Industry but for some reason decided to hold back and just observe. Maybe that's the voyeur in me. Then again I've always wanted to go down the smart route by observing and analyzing every thing possible. Since as far as I could remember I've always had the passion, burning desire, and raw intensity to be in front of the camera. Most of my life I've laid in bed, curling up my toes, and delving deep inside my mind craving sexual and organic bliss. There was something that desperately needed out of me, something that I wanted to exude to the public with no regrets, even if it was held immoral and a social stigma by the general public. Sometimes I felt bi-polar, taking on another personality. Going from Good Girl to totally obliterating her by giving oral and taking it full force in the public areas such as the train tracks. The breasts flapping in the wind was enjoyable, I must say. My goal is to start out in the Adult Industry, but I'd like you the public to suggest and reccomend the right agency that could help steer me in the right way. I know there are many wonderful agencies in the San Fernando Valley. Many I'm sure know how to really look out for the male and female talent and really steer them in the right direction. However, it's also up to the girl and guy to market themselve's and remain with a good head on their shoulders. I'd like to do more girl/girl, Andrew Blake-esque films, and then work my way into the Soft Core business. Yeah, this is more than likely where I lose your interest and a box of Kleenex is tossed in the dumpster. Why do Soft Core when you could view a fresh new talent get every orifice penetrated. Well, I'm not saying NEVER..or NEVER EVER! I want to start slowly, get my feet wet, and then jump into it full throttle and No Holds Barred. With that, and I mean, I'm baring my soul here. Well, not too entirely. If I was going to bare it then I might as well as sell it the flesh trade, and I may do so soon. ;-). Main Question, which agency could easily help talent receive Soft Core Status, I'm talking Skinemax. Most SofCore films I know start out with Hard Core and edit it for SoftCore. I have Raw and Completely Surreal Heat that's ready to explode. I promise the Best Sex Ever and with your help, it could all start with A Good..Common Case..of..Fate. We want more, more, and more. Most people are over the Big Production Companies, SoftCore, and mainly All Girl/Girl. People want where their minds holds no restraints. They've been gifted with gonzo. Considering that a lot of things involved in Pornography is being somewhat mainstreamed, I feel people are looking for a new Conquest in the world of Taboo. And that means they will use you to the fullest extent to which you'll allow them to. They are not interested in your long-term well being. Nor are they really interested in helping you make a lot of money for yourself. Again, they're in this business for themselves. You have to look out for yourself. It's fine to find someone who has a decent reputation within the industry and allow see if they can help you achieve your goals but don't expect them to really care about you. From reading your post, I think you have a pretty good head on your shoulders but I think you should think things through a little more. I'm not in the business. I'm just a guy who watches porn and has posted here for a while. Understand that if you go into porn, it's probably not going to be a long-term career (no matter what anybody tells you). Only the lucky last more than a few years in porn. After that, your face will be out there indefinitely. People will recognize you wherever you go. A lot of people will say nasty things about you and harass you simply for the fact that you've done porn. Some people may even stalk you. In fact, it's probably a given. There will also be health consequences (most likely). You may, in fact, regret it later in life. Health issues are generally a cumulative thing. It may seem like no big deal when you're young but as you grow older, one thing piles on top of another and it can get overwhelming. I would say that you should talk to people in the industry to get a good idea of what it's like but you really can't count on them to be honest with you. By then you're probably up to your ears in drug debt, signing up with an escort service, and being beat to a pulp by your suit case pimp, and with this business there are many politics. However, it's like that with any business. You have your ups and downs and one should always look over their shoulder and remain thick skinned. This business is all about marketing, who you know, what you want and what the public expects from you. It takes a serious driving force and even with that it doesn't matter. It depends on timing and true dedication and not allowing an industry eat you alive and completely consume you. I don't know everything and maybe I shouldn't. Ignorance is Bliss, to a certain degree. Sure, it's still popular and there are buyers, but with the DVD Sales down and the internet porn definitely on the rise, minus the pirating, I understand that the viewer wants something raw and risque' to sink their teeth into. Plus, as I'm sure most of the female talent can vouch, if you go into the industry and allow everything to happen at once, then I think you're running low on fuel when it comes to Shelf Life. Then again, I'm sure there have been performers that have proven me wrong. I can think of one already, Sasha Grey. She does it all and the scandal and perversion is the sweet smell of her success. I love men, women, and just about everything. However, at the same time I'm not for sure how far I'm willing to go sexually in front of the camera.
