And contrary to social media, where blocking a user does not close his account, blocking a user in a forum equates to closing his account. So if moderators would close accounts as fast as some social media posters block their followers, this forum would be pretty deserted. Or put otherwise, if a random block on social media would close your account, then those too would only have a handful of users. [Link]

Click to expand I would imagine that you have significantly more A..holes on social media than you have in this forum. The model can block these A..holes but she still had to first read the tweet that got the person blocked while in this forum the moderators do that for them. You also get way more people come to the defense of the model in this forum than you likely do on social media. It must be really hard for moderators to decide what is and isn't acceptable to post. Are posters really being A..holes when they comment on a change the performer has done to her appearance or are they simply stating an opinion in their own words? In some cases it is beyond obvious but more than once I'm sure I wrote something that to me seemed acceptable but the model may not have seen it that way. Ultimately performers are judged on their appearance because they work in an industry where looks is one of the most important thing that decides popularity. [Link]
