I reside in Pakistan and i'm a little hesitant about ordering adult material online. Let's just say customs here is a little weird (then again, whats new?;)
Anyway, i just have a few questions, if any of u would be kind enuff to answer.
They say they ship dvds discreetly, no boxes, just artwork + dvd. I'm thinking, how discreet is discreet? Can anyone holding the package tell that it contains something similar to a cd/dvd? Is it light? Small? (invisible?)
Secondly, just in case someone decides to take a peek (and i'm thinking here that hey its UPS International Express, they dont let anyone peek, right? do they?), would ADN.com remove the artwork if i ask them to? And also, does the dvd itself have anything on it that my give it away?
Lastly, how is the credit card billed? Anything which may appear suspicious?
As its painfully obvious, this is my first time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what customs are like your end, but i can answer the 'easy' questions.
the credit card is billed as ADDVD.COM
if you use UPS shipping (which i do) they ship the artwork + DVDs (not the boxes) in a flat A4 document style envelope. It is very secure this way. You can't tell whats inside. people tend to think it is holding documents as it is a 'document' style envelope and not a 'package'.
As you are using UPS shipping which is secure, you do not run the risk of any tampering, except by customs, but again i don't know what they are like in your country.
I can vouch that Adult dvd now are an excellent store. I would advise you to order 2 or 3 dvd's, use the UPS method and see what happens.
As for requesting them to remove the artwork, there's really no point. 90% of DVD's have artwork on them, just by loooking at a DVd you can tell its smut.

There's just one small problem. I just tried ordering thru ADN.com and at the end of the whole process it just said 'sorry we do not ship to your country at this time'. Bummer!!
Anyone have any suggestions on where i may get reliable, safe and discreet service to my country (did i mention discreet?)
Welcome the cardinal, It's difficult to comment on how Customs operate in Pakistan but one thing is certain all Customs authorities have the right to open and inspect any package whether by courier or regular mail. If they do the game is up however discrete they were packaged. All adult dvds will either have graphics or print on them that will indicate their content.
There is no such thing as a 100% guarantee that your order will not be inspected. By using discrete shippnig i.e. sending without the box reduces the profile of the package so it doesn't look, feel or sound like a DVD on initial inspection.
Even in a Global Priority envelope you sometimes can still feel the shape of the discs through the card. Using a padded envelope this is less likely.
I use AdultDVDToday and they use the smaller Global Priority Letter envelope which I feel is less obvious than the bigger A4 sized one some retailers use.
If you decide to order go small 1 or 2 just to test the water.
In that case, you might just have to go through the ordering process of a few sites and see if they ship to your country. Most stores have a 'shipping' section with information which will tell you whether they ship to your country or not.
other stores i have faith in from using are Lasersedge.com and Adult DVD depot. Check those two out and see if they can ship to you.
Lasersedge ship with boxes (but if you specify that you do not require the boxes - I'm sure they will accomodate)
Adult DVD Depot ship exactly the same as Adult DVD now.
I was walking by the street when I saw this sign at an adult store - "Hindi XXX movies Sale". When I read your post, I thought perhaps you could order from India. I think the adult stores in India would also carry western titles in addition to the hindi titles.
Ordering from India has it's advantages since the package will not be as suspicious as a package from a western country. Alternatively, a drive down Delhi would solve the shipping problems.
If not, snowden porn's suggestion of DV-Depot is good. You can specifically tell them whether you just want the disc or otherwise. DV-Depot has their own forums where you can look for country specific customs problems.
snowden porn, are u sure dvd-depot still uses the same discreet shipping method similar to adn.com? I ask cuz i couldn't find that anywhere on the site, or maybe i missed it somewhere. The forums do not have anything on pakistan, so i have posted my question on it. Plz confirm that their packaging was satisfactory.
Westminiter, thanks for the advice. I'm assuming that ur NOT residing in India. Ur suggestion would have been a perfect solution had India and Pakistan not been at a perpetual brink of war for the last several years. I'm pretty sure even the most innocent of packages coming in from and going to India are very meticulously inspected. Also, a drive down Delhi sounds lovely but visa restrictions between the two countries are very strict. Also, i doubt very strongly that there would be porn stores operating there, not openly anyway.
Charlie, thanks for ur advice too. Does dvd-depot ship in padded envelopes? They use DHL so would that depend on DHL or can i request dvd-depot to make sure the package is as inconspicuous as possible?
Tinaka, does that pose a problem? I mean, i really don't need the artwork. I don't mind if they keep everything as long as they send me the dvd's. Can u elaborate how u feel it could be an issue?
I also checked out action-dvd and i was surprised to find that the same dvd (the fashionistas) costs $13 less than anywhere else, dvd-depot even (#36.95 vs. $49.95). Is action-dvd any good? And what do u suppose the difference in price can be attributed to? Of course, action-dvd does not offer courier shipping, but they do claim discreet shipping which appeared to be on the lines of adn.com and dvd-depot.
If you are considering using Global Priority Letter the envelopes look like this . This is the smaller one but the point I make is do you think it is discrete enough for you? If not you can ask the retailer not to use this type of packaging and ship in a plain padded envelope instead.
You can even ask the retailer to send the covers and discs separately if it suits your needs. You might have to pay for the extra postage but I think it's worth it.
Most retailers here are very accommodating and will package your order as you wish. If in doubt drop them an email first before ordering. I can't comment on the use of couriers because they are too expensive for my needs. When I did use FedEx some time ago they were shipped in a similar envelope to Global Priority but bigger. I also had the misfortune to have one of these packages confiscated by UK Customs in the dark days when importing adult material was a lot harder.
The stealthiest packaging I have ever encountered was from our Swiss friends Orgazmik . The package looked and felt like a regular letter. It even had me fooled.
