Wondering if any other buyers have had to wait this long with global priority mail from Actiondvd? I'm always suspicious about a retailer i haven't used before putting the full value of the package on the customs form. Adultdvduniverse did this and it took over 3 bloody weeks to arrive, not to mention the nice extra charge! Usps isn't recognising the tracking number....surely it would have been scanned in by now? Some stores have yet to update their shipping options and rates. Anyway, that's not exactly helpful, and I don't see any point in speculating what has happened. What I can say that from extensive experience of using this service, though they usually come in 4-5 days, maybe a week, I have had some Global Priority deliveries take up to two weeks, and recently industrial action in our postal service hasn't helped. I could understand the discs being held up at customs but not the covers. One title i've ordered for a friend and i am now at the point of considering reordering this from another retailer. Even if the order turns up tomorrow i could not recommend Action-dvd because of slow shipping. Maybe usps have a problem shipping from Ohio? 1.We have only had a one day postal strike. 2.Two packages sent seperately...at least one should arrive in normal time. [Link] |

Take your point, but look at it like this - I am not sure exactly how the system works, but basically they fill a container with the mail from Ohio to UK in a given period, if all in same container and container is delayed then both items will be late. Not sure why that meant a 10 day delay...probably the amount of time it took to pass around the office and wank off over. Luckily nothing was taken and no 'duty' payable (Action-dvd had been very reliable in this respect). One weird thing. It all arrived (discs and covers) in one envelope. I have asked Action-dvd to confirm they definitely sent discs and covers seperately (which i had to pay extra for). If so, it would mean Royal Mail opened both envelopes, put the covers in with the discs and discarded the second envelope. Slightly odd. I'll check the weight of the envelope to see if it tallies with whats on the declaration. There was no tracking number on the envelope (although Action-dvd had given me one) but it was 'priority mail' and cost $11.00. Action-dvd said that usps confirmed the package as leaving the US on the 7th. [Link] |

I think it was rounded up. When i emailed Actiondvd they said covers/dvds were sent in 2 envelopes. If this is true, Royal mail have taken a liberty by repacking all items in one envelope. No way of proving this though. [Link] |
