^ If it is a guy in a scene with a mask on or his face blurred I couldn't care less as long as the scene is hot. Personally the guy is not going to trip my trigger especially his face. If it is a woman on the other hand it all depends on what kind of scene it is. [Link] |

Luckily for me there aren't too many sites that shoot porn where the performers face is blurred, never in the shot, wears a mask or whatever other method they use to make sure we do not know what the performer looks like. As far as I know girls do porn, exploited college girls, backroom casting couch, mom pov are the only sites that shoot porn in a way that makes sure we can never see the face of the male performer. Assylum also hides the face of the performers but they use masks so at least there are no limits on the kind of shots they can have.

Both FakeAgent and FakeTaxi blur the male faces, but not to protect their identity since they are regular performers like James Brossman. I presume it is to help the viewer project themselves into the role of the guy in the scene.
Personally I prefer it when they achieve that with camera angles that hide the guys face (and balls). Unfortunately outside of JAV, I rarely find western porn that does that effectively.[Link] |

I've seen this quite a bit in Japanese porn. The only problem for me is that if the dude's face is blurred or not shown at all, the director really can't shoot a decent kissing scene. Besides that, it doesn't bother me.[Link] |

OK then so I am in the minority on this one. Interesting thought on the whole blur the face to give the viewer the impression that they are in the scene. HAD NOT considered that.
