This has got to be the lamest most frustrating situation I've seen. I fucked up by sending in a money order and now I have to wait a month and a half for a refund check, it's not that big of a deal but I wish they could have given people heads up in advance so we could order from another distributor. Adult DVD Empire sucks because they're operators can't even give me an explanation for the reason they cancelled the release, I'm sticking to Effex Media. [Link] |

Since ADE is based in Pennsylvania, too, they apparently decided to play it safe. Back then they immediately dropped the entire Extreme Associates studio and even went on a paranoid "witch hunt" thru their catalog eliminating many movies by other studios in the process. They really pissed me off at the time because they canceled several movies from a pending order I had and sent me generic mails claiming the items were no longer available from the supplier. When I called them up, they were mum about the reasons and merely said they reserved the right to weed out items not deemed as appropriate. [Link] |

If they keep questionable titles, in an area where prosecutions are going on for questionable titles, they face being shut down, putting many employees on the street. If they are careful about what they carry and stay open, it is obviously a better choice. One can't blame them for being careful.
