Is anyone else having problems with Adult DVD Empire rentals? It seems like it's taking three times the amount of time for returns to be posted and new movies are not shipping out for days if not weeks. These folks used to run like clockwork, not everything is dragging. I've sent them an email, but so far, no reply. Topic Moved by - astroknight on Apr 15 2014

I've been a member of their rental program for four months now (Silver Membership-2 DVDs out at a time) and in recent weeks I've noticed that on more than one occasion the delivery times in both receiving and returning rentals have been longer than expected. Since I live in the same state that their rental facility is located, the expected delivery time for me should be two days; if I mail back a DVD on Monday morning, I ought to receive an e-mail on Wednesday that they received it and that my next rental was shipped out, which should reach my mailbox on Friday. Recently, this hasn't been running so smoothly for me. For example, last month I mailed two rentals on the morning of Friday, March 21 in the same mailbox at the same exact time. I receive one e-mail on Monday the 24th stating that they received one of the DVDs and that my next rental item was shipped. As for the other DVD? It wasn't until Thursday the 27th that I received the return cofirmation e-mail saying they received it and that my next rental item was shipped out. So I mailed back two rentals at the same exact time, but yet they received them three days apart. I've been assuming that the reason for the lag in shipping times lately is because of the not-so-efficient US Postal Service, but now that I read this thread, I'm not sure. Actually, I think this will be my last month with their rental membership program; 20 bucks a month just to have two DVDs out at a time is expensive, especially when I consider the fact that I essentially have to wait five days from the day I mail back one rental to receive the next one on my list (if it's available). I initially joined so I could check out some movies released in the past couple years that I had never seen before, and I did that. From what I can tell, there's no chance of being able to rent a new release within the first couple weeks that it's out. So I figure, what's the point of keeping this membership? Oh, and while it's cool that they give me 60 minutes of free Video On Demand time every month, it sucks that the movies from certain studios, especially Jules Jordan Video, are 2-for-1 pay per minute movies; meaning that each minute that I view a JJV movie, they take two minutes off my VOD time. (Actually, I don't know if they just changed it, but I have just noticed that it's actually 3-for-1 now...ri-fucking-diculous!) Anyways, in regards to the rentals, in my case at least, I still think that the problem is with the USPS and not Adult DVD Empire. Although, I'm still curious to find out what they'll tell you, scorpiusdeus.

Interesting. I must say that I've been impressed with them over the last few years up until this past 2 months. I'm in CA, so I would expect some delays, but this is getting ridiculous. If they are moving, I can see where there may be a slow down, but it's been at least a month, I'd think they'd have things squared away by now. I just sent them another email so I'll see what they say. I would expect at least an account credit of some kind. I used to be with XrentDVD, but after 3 years with them they closed my account because a total of three DVDs had either got lost when shipped to me, or lost when shipped back to them. XRENT said they could no longer "absorb the losses" after three years minimum of membership. Very disappointing. I'd rented and purchased movies from them and I was surprised that three lost in the mail DVD over three years time would cause them to close my account. I'd also endured a number of miships from them as well, including them shipping me three Gay themed movies that I would not have rented. Oddly, I've not had one DVD go missing in the mail from AdultDVDEmpire.
Do you guys utilize the program where in your queue next to the movies you have out you can click on the icon indicating that you have mailed your DVD's back and they will immediately mail out your next titles, before receiving the inbound DVD's?

I do have that all set up and according to the system, I should have two more movies from my queue shipped over a week ago, still nothing after one email a week ago and just sent one today.
You know they have a live customer chat option right?

Wait, what? You're saying Adult DVD Empire has this? I'm lookin' at my Rental Queue right now, and the only icon that appears next to the two items I currently have out is the "Purchase" button.

Geez, it took them weeks to finally record the returns? BTW, I'm still curious about what rlankford mentioned above-the feature that allows for your next rentals to be shipped out before the ones you currently have are returned. I don't know if this is something not available to me because I have the cheapest rental plan (Silver Membership-2 DVDs at a time for $17.99/month), but I can't find any indication on my rental queue page (or anywhere on the ADE site) that this feature exists.

Sucks that this feature isn't available for me because I live on the east coast; I really think I would continue my membership if it was, but since it's not, I'm returning my rentals tomorrow and canceling my membership before it rebills at the end of the week.
^ Bush DVD, which is on the west coast, has a similar feature called Rapid Return (scroll down) that is available to all customers. Their library of titles is not as large as Empire but it may be an option for you.

^ Yeah, I've checked that one out before, but I think that even with their Rapid Return system, the wait time for rentals would still be the same, if not longer, than what I've experienced with ADE. Actually, I wonder if the original poster of this thread, scorpiusdeus, has looked into that one, since he lives in CA.

I have and used them before, not a bad company at all, just not the set up and selection I like. Xrent was the best, but they got all weird on me. I'd had a number of odd experiences with them, not all their fault, but would explain some things, in any event they cut me off so it's a non issue now.
