I find some of the best deals sometimes on sites that aren't necessarily X sites. (Lasersedge for one themovie-store.com is another). I also check dvdpricesearch.net not for X but for mainstream. Having both a new releases and future releases listing is extremely helpful  [Link] |

I'm curious to know if many people use the 'shopping cart' order comparison feature of maintream price search engines. I personally find these things cumbersome and sometimes confusing. Would this be helpful for adult DVD retailers. It's something that we could do for the ADT price search if there is interest. At the moment it's not something we are planning on doing. [Link] |

I rarely if ever order only one DVD from a site b/c of the shipping. It's good to factor in shipping. I hope your comparison engine will do that as well. Some adult sites, like Excalibur and adultails have ridiculous shipping charges do for the ADT price search if there is interest. | DGF Member 122 Posts 1/00 | Posted - Feb 8 2000 : 9:47PM What is that exactly? I would suggest some method of rating the reputability of the sites. A certain site may have the lowest price but that isn't too good if the site makes mistakes on deliveries or fails deliveries, etc. [Link] |

At first we will have a basic text-entry form where people can freely comment. In the future we will develop a full survey and rating system similar in concept to BizRate but specifically tailored to the adult DVD business. AlanBenson - Your feedback is very similar to comments that we have received from many people. It's a nice feature but most people just don't use it. I've been thinking quite a bit about how to implement a total order comparison feature for the ADT price search. We will implement it in some fashion just not with the initial launch. How does everyone feel about price searching titles by performer, studio, or store? I think it would be great to see a list of everything my favorite performer is in and then click over to a store that I am comfortable purchasing from. How about: "what's the best deals at Adult DVD Empire?" Or: "I like Private's titles but not everyone carrys them. A quick list of stores carrying Private titles would be great. Then I could click the store link to view prices of all Private titles without ever leaving the site." There are many ways that we can develop the price search to be a great shopping tool. We want it to be far more versatile than simply finding someone the best price on an item. [Link] |
