I just received Rodney Moore's "Hard To Swallow Vol.1". Rodney is one of my all time favorite smut peddlers. I was disappointed to find that the DVD starts to pixelate from chapter 12 forward. I bought the DVD from 5 Star. Has anyone else on this board had an experience returning a DVD to an adult vendor (5 Star or otherwise)? I left their customer service an email about my situation and am awaiting their response. I'd like to know what others have experienced when this has happened. One other question, I have noted that adult DVDs have a much higher defective rate than "mainstream movie" DVD's. Why is this so? Thanks for everyone's responses in advance.

Busta,
I'm sure that Five Star will take care of you and correct the situation. All though Five Star may be new to the online DVD business they have had brick and mortar stores in existance for many years. They know how to build customer relationships.
The level of customer service and ease of returning product varies greatly amongst all of the online stores. All of the big names in the business like DVD Empire, DVD Express and Divadee will accept returns with no hassle whatsoever. There are other adult vendors that simply will not accept a return, even if the product is defective.
We are going to be implementing an online store review section on ADT. Customer service will be one of the areas that will be focused on.

Thanks Drew B. I'm glad to hear that. As it turned out, DivaDee also screwed up an order by sending me "The Nurse's Diary" instead of what I ordered "The Nurse". I have left them an email also.
I think establishing an on-line store folder would be a great idea especially considering the type of product that is being sold.
Is is safe to assume that if a store is linked with this website that it's business practices have met a minimum level of scrutiny? I know that Geoff has turned away several sponsors because he felt that they were not reputable.
I really look forward to reading/posting to this forum. It's long overdue. It seemed like Geoff was against setting it up from the posts I'd read. I'm glad that it is being kept separate from the "cleaner" DVD talk so that those with sensitivities will not have to be offended. It's kinda like having a separate channel that we can turn to.

Busta,
I'm sure Divadee will correct the misshipment for you. In the past they have sent out pre-paid postage envelopes to correct mistakes like the one that you experienced. Don't be surprised if it takes a few days for Five Star and Divadee (or any other stores) to get back to you due to the Holiday. Many of the online stores are closing for end of year closing. They should get in touch with you first thing next week.

Busta-
Our customer service people are on duty today to answer any questions. We have not received an email from you yet, so I personally sent an email to you so we can take care of the defective disc right away.
Our return policy is very simple: "Do whatever it takes to make the customer happy". If that means sending a replacement, giving a refund or anything else to keep a customer satisfied then we will do it. I am sure that any of our customers who have had to return an item will agree that we are very easy to deal with.
As far a defective DVDs, unfortunately, they do happen from time to time. I believe that the adult studios are doing a better job of keeping the defective rate down. We have seen a large decrease in defectives in the past year but there is still much room for improvement.
Happy New Year!

Today I received an email from Five Star letting me know that they would send me a replacement DVD next week. Additionally, I was offered any Free Wave, Nu Tech, or Raw DVD complimentary. That is OUTSTANDING customer service! Thanks Five Star, you've definitely earned my return business. I encourage others to give these guys a fair shot at your DVD purchasing $$'s.

I wanted to follow up on the above. Divadee emailed me and extended an offer to keep the movie they sent by mistake as well as send me the correct DVD movie. I graciously accepted. These guys (Divadee and Five Star) are more than fair when they make an error in shipping or ship damaged merchandise. Thanks to these 2 online vendors.
