Yes they are. (The information on their webpage is somewhat outdated apparently). Recently I have had to wait quite long for items that were back-ordered. I even cancelled some orders, for waiting over a month for a title to come back in stock. Otherwise they are reliable, have good prices on a lot of items.

I have just ordered 5 titles from Laser's Edge. 4 titles by Teagan Presley & 1 x Lauren Phoenix. Status: Back order. Will update further.

Do you ask for "No Cases" or just get them with cases on the $1.99? (Typical your experience with customs question.)

Even if you go for the "no cases" shipping, you may want to send them an email to let them know that really is what you want.
Otherwise they may include the cases anyway.

That said, I would not recommend letting Laser's ship without cases, as they just chuck all the discs and artwork in one large padded envelope, letting the discs move around and become scratched.
Unlike the other stores I've used, they don't put the discs in individual paper envelopes.

Of course, shipping with cases runs the risk of 'floaters', also causing scratches.

I've always ordered no more than 2-3 DVDs from them at a time using the $1.99 and they just just include the cases, they've all arrived OK.

At least floaters doesn't let the disc get bent.

Apparently ordering from Europe is higher risk and no cases is preferred by the dealers.

Thanks.

True. That was a worry the first time I chose a no cases shipment. No problems with that so far though.

As long as the discs would stay put, shipping with cases would be my preferred method too.
I did have to send back two discs to Laser's because of scratches though. I've not used them since, as their no cases option is useless IMHO.

If only DVDs came in CD Jewel cases instead. ::sigh:: Idiot box designers/marketing droids.

And shipping fees are lower too. That might be the main concern.

Apart from UK and Germany based ones, do other European customers have any trouble with customs seizures?

If the Danish customs takes an interest in a shipment you simply have to pay taxes. No biggie.

Kperv - which US suppliers do you use with the no cases option? Do these ship the discs/artwork in cardboard envelopes?

I've had several orders with Five Star. With good results.
Recently I had to try Adult DVD Now for a Wicked title that Five Star wouldn't carry. Also with a good result.
Yes.
Five Star ships them in a cardboard envelope approximately C5 size with the covers folded once along the 'spine'.
Adult DVD Now shipped the titles in a large envelope with the discs taped to a cardboard courier envelope and a second cardboard courier envelope on top. Covers were not folded.
Both put the discs in little flimsy paper envelopes to keep them from getting scratched.
