I rarely watch a movie that doesn't have it. Then I began to wonder how many performers really enjoy it? Then it occured to me that there's probably very little enjoyment on adult sets but, rather, a whole lot of great acting. Porn stars are really and truly actors. They are as much actors as so-called "mainstream" performers. Think about it. At least 75% of the girls in porn could have matched Halle Berry's Academy Award winning performance in Monster's Ball. But, could Halle take a huge cock in her ass, suck the juice off it, and swallow a load with a convincing smile and sexual vigor on an open set? I think not. It's got to be harder to fuck someone (in the least intimate of settings)and convey eroticism and passion than it is to read lines convincingly. It's got to be harder to get a boner on a cold set with all kinds of activity going on than it is to do a wire fight scene. It's got to be harder to take a big cock in the ass -even though you hate anal- with a smile than for a lesbian actress to passionately kiss her leading man. If someone like Taylor Rain came out and said she always hated anal and through-up after each scene wouldn't that make her a greater actor than say...Rock Hudson? I think so. I bet just on this board there are 3 times as many people (non-talent) who could do a decent Hamlet than there are those that could do I hot fuck scene. It's probably higher. Let's not continue to follow the "mainstream" stereotypes of porn stars as just hookers and exhibitionists. These people are actors in every sense of the word. Some as great at their craft as any Oscar winner who ever lived. They make us as happy and provide us with as much entertainment and escape as Hollywood ever did. And if you want to talk about dysfunction, Hollywood is second to none in that category so let's not go there. Let's give adult performers the respect that they so richly deserve. Long live Porn!
