I have a question on AdultDVDEmpire's return/exchange policy for those people who shop there. Last week I bought Flesh Hunter 7 DVD from AdultDVDEmpire and receive the DVD yesterday in the mail. I'm having problem playing the DVD on my DVD players. On my Sony DVD Player, it wouldn't even startup. On my Toshiba DVD Player, it would hang a few seconds after displaying the copyright notice with a lot of pixelation problem. On my PC DVD-ROM drive, it wouldn't recognize the disc at all.
So, I think there is something wrong with the DVD. And I emailed AdultDVDEmpire about the return/exchange of the DVD by replying to the email message they sent out when DVD is shipped to me. Does anyone know if this is the proper procedure for returning the defective DVD for an exchange?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you can reply to the message. They will reply with a return tag that you can print out and put on the package. Last time I returned something, you just need to take the package to the post office and the postage is taken care of by ADE. Once they receive it, they will ship a replacement copy. This process usually takes a few weeks from first contact to receipt of the replacement.
I got a reply from DVDEmpire yesterday stating that they will send me a pre-paid postage. I also received another email from their tech telling me to install adobe reader if it's not in my computer because the pre-paid postage will be in PDF format. I'm still waiting to receive the actual email message with the PDF file containing the pre-paid postage. I hope they send me soon. Their email stated that they won't send me replacement DVD until they receive the defective DVD from me. It would be awesome it they will ship out the replacement DVD first.
EmpireMan, did you email me earlier today? I replied to your email with my order number #7611924. I'm anxiously waiting for the pre-paid postage to be sent to me. Thanks for your help.
Thanks so much for your help. I think there might be something goofy with my hotmail account. Before, I was corresponding using my hotmail account and DVDEmpire was trying to send mailing label to my hotmail account without success. This time, they send to my yahoo account and I received it.
I checked to see if my hotmail filter is blocking any address. I get a lot of spams on hotmail account and have manually entered a lot of domains to block. But I don't see that usps address is on my block list. Oh well.
I just got a replacement DVD from ADE. It looks like the replacement DVD also has the same problem as the one I returned. It wouldn't even startup on my Sony DVD Players (model# NC665P and CX985V). It hang a few seconds after displaying DVD copyright message on my Toshiba SD-2109 player. My Dell DVD-ROM drive doesn't recognize it. And my Onkyo DR-C500 can only play the first half of the movie.
I don't think the problem is with a single disc as I originally thought but a problem with how this title Flesh Hunter 7 DVD is manufactured. So I'm not going to ask for another exchange. Anyone know if ADE will take back a DVD for refund or credit (not an exchange)?
MM, sorry to hear of your troubles. I think your only recourse is to contact Tricia from EVIL ANGEL and let her know about your problem with this title and I'm sure they will replace it with one that works. Best of luck!
I just contacted ADE to see what their policy is regarding returning DVD for refund and/or credit for another title. If it works, I'll go through that route, since I bought my DVD from them so hopefully they will help me out.
Frankly, I'm not even sure how to contact Evil Angel for an exchange.
MM, its actually not that hard to contact Tricia. She's very friendly and willing to help out those having problems with their products. I had a similar situation with one of their titles not too long ago and she was able to get me a replacement in no time. What ever you decide to do, I hope everything works out for you!
I just returned the replacement DVD back to ADE and I think they will give me refund. So that's all cool other than wasting so much time and gas driving to post office.
And I still want to watch Flesh Hunter 7. I wonder if there are ways to check if a particular DVD will play on one of my DVD players before I buy it. So I don't have to go though the hassle of returning a non-working DVD. But I'm very apprehensive about buying Flesh Hunter 7 anywhere else after this experience.
That's a good idea. Do you know if there is a minimum bandwidth that is required to view streamed video? I'm still connecting at 28.8kbps modem and am not sure if the video streaming is supported at this slow rate. I know, I know... people have told me to get broadband connection. But I'm just too cheap to upgrade.
mookiemeister, yes, unfortunately you should have a broadband connection to view our VOD system. The lowest stream rate that we offer is 200k. You can stop here to see our system requirements:
True! Then let me ask a new one: Now that Ashcroft has resigned as attorney general, is Adult DVD Empire going to start delivering to the major metropolitan areas (Houston, Dallas, Austin) in Texas?
Mookiemeister: Are you able to order from ADE living in Pearland or are they on the "do not ship to" list also?
I've bought many DVDs from ADE before without any problem. But I live outside Houston metropolitan area, so that's probably the reason it's not under ADE's DVD quarantine area. On the other hand, ADE doesn't ship 'novelty items' to my place. I've tried to order a novelty item from ADE before and was rejected.
