ADM has been down for 3 or 4 days now. No one from their customer service seems to be able to respond to emails and they were supposed to be back online Monday. Anyone hear anything about this?
I might have to switch to another seller if this keeps up. Not going to lose sales with December on the way.

Are there other similar places to sell out there?

Not like ADM. I've looked for years. They said they're working on getting a new CC processor, but again that was supposed to be done Monday. Losing money with each day it is not up and online.

Yes it is getting to that point where you have to go elsewhere to get some product as the ADM folks are not exactly keeping their customers and sellers informed much at all. The sellers I have talked to have also expressed that they are not able to access the site just to see outstanding orders.

It's only the 2nd of November but this has to be resolved long before black Friday. Too much money at stake here. No one is going to fill this void and other sites will just buy from you and pay penines for dvds I can sell for $40 or more. Not happy about this. But they did process last month's sales which I am happy about. Now time for the check to arrive.

Glad to see you guys are getting paid at least. This is ridiculous. If it is indeed a card processor and I am not doubting that as in this business it happens more than it should, they still should have already found one by now.

^ Exactly! They said this would be done by Monday. I don't care about the porn angle. That's complete bullshit to me. MONEY TALKS! Whatever CC processor doesn't want to deal with them is missing out on tens of millions a year.
It said my sales were processed, but I'm waiting to see the check show up, and cash without difficulty.

I think it will be fine. I get paid via PayPal and was notified the process was started too.

Yeah, but I really want to get back to selling. ADM has been around for years because there's no nonsense and no BS with them. This isn't making them look good. That and my sales have never been better, so would like that to continue again.

Very glad to hear that everyone's getting paid, but just curious if anyone has heard of other adult companies losing their credit card processing last week. Are there that many credit card processors that ADM would be the only one affected?

^ That's a very depressing thought. I have 2,000 DVDs in storage that are going to be in limbo if their website has actually shut down for good.

Just did a real quick search and there are 4 big CC processing companies for adult material. This isn't Standard Oil 100 years ago. There are options available. This is starting to get me upset. This problem was supposed to be resolved Monday and it's almost Thursday. Zero customer service communication. None of these are good signs.

I am starting to think there is something more going on that what ADM is saying. I doubt the folks at ADM read this forum but it would be nice if they would address the gorilla in the room and tell us what the hell is going on. It's now been 3 business days and notification of the card processor would have had to be given more in advance than this Friday last minute bullshit. They either were warned about something or did something egregious to cause something like that. I have run adult companies and what and how they described this occurring did not happen.

Like I said Black Friday and Cyber Monday are coming. That's a ton of money to miss out on if they're not up long before then.

I'm guessing with lasts night election results I could've made a small fortune if the website had been online.

One more day and I'm moving on. Tuesday came and went. Tomorrow is Friday. Most businesses end their work week long before Friday is over.

Apparently sellers have been able to adjust their prices somehow, as I've still been getting e-mails the last 2 weeks about price changes for movies on my wishlist, but site is still down. I'm ready to spend my money!

I have a HUGE range of DVDs to choose from and 4,000 others not even listed. If the site ever goes back online let me know and I'll send you the link to my page. But yeah for some weird ass reason sellers are updating prices. I don't understand what's going on over there. If it takes much longer I've already spoken to some web designers who would pick up the ball where these guys obviously have dropped it.

I emailed ADM and told them who I was and that their Sellers and buyers wanted an explanation. Here's what he said:
There is an explanation -- unfortunately we had a credit card processor terminate our account in October with no notice, and to make matters worse, several weeks prior to that they had stopped funding transactions that were being authorized on the site (so, to ADM it looked like transactions were successfully batching each night, but those funds were never being pulled from customer cards). So, we were left with a dual-pronged situation of fighting to ensure all past orders were funded (which has been accomplished), and also finding a secure credit card processor for future transactions. The site will be back shortly -- every expectation was that it would happen early this week, but, given the holiday, at this point it will likely be early next week. Apologies for the disruption, but every effort is being expended in ensuring the site returns as quickly as possible.

Once again, that check they sent me better not bounce like a super ball! Far too much here that sounds weird. If this is at all the case I better have negative feedback negated for at least 2 weeks, if not the entire month, previous to this happening. I had to issue various refunds for DVDs that were either already sold.
I need to find an additional site to sell on and slow to my purchases of video stores that went out of business. CAn't be caught with this many DVDs that are NOT going anywhere again. Also this is November and a strong close out to the year sales wise would've been fantastic. I don't see that happening now.

I'm guessing there is NO website out there that is similar to ADM since no one has yet suggested any alternative.

No check here either. They usually shoot for middle of month for paper though. Would be curious if PayPal deposits are still pending.

No check today. This will be latest it has ever arrived. My lawyer is based out of Raleigh, NC; these guys are in Charlotte, NC; there will be a conversation at the end of the week if this persists. No excuse for these guys to go silent to all but one or two people (and then, only after repeated emails).

Yeah, but I'm still waiting around for my check.
I do have thousands more DVDs to add at least. HEre's hoping Black Friday/Cyber Monday makes up for the last 2 weeks.

Per ADM:
We truly appreciate your patience as we work through the issues that the past
several weeks have dealt us. Having our payment processing capabilities turned
off without notice, setting off a laborious and time consuming process in
retrieving escrowed funds, and also difficulties in getting approved for
alternative payment processing with the site offline, has taxed our operational
and support capacity.

Due to this crisis we have been delayed in remitting seller reimbursements, but
all electronic payments were transferred as of Monday, and 95% of our check
remittances, including your own check, were processed and mailed this week.

We expect to be caught up operationally by the beginning of next week, and hope
to have a traditional payment processor (in addition to the current PayPal
checkout) online soon.

Again, and as always, we're grateful for your support and understanding as we
round this corner.

Well, I'm glad you received such a message because I haven't seen ANY email stating this. I'm done. I'm getting my check and then pulling my entire inventory from this website. I'm not sure how large my reimbursement has to be before I'm placed on the list of people not to get screwed over here. This is beyond unprofessional!
I've already spoken to some contacts I have on the west coast and hope to have a similar website up such as this one next year. Americans don't do business the business way, and this is some complete bullshit!

^ Oh, and since I didn't receive this message I'm guessing my check wasn't one of the ones sent out. You don't tell your sellers you sent their checks on November 3rd and then send this cheeky email to only some of the sellers. This isn't an "oops, we're sorry," moment!!!

Told them to send it PayPal and it showed up 20 minutes ago. I received an email late last night saying my check would go out today. I think I raised enough of a racket to get some action.

Only being able to process PayPal for people to purchase is going to completely screw up Black Friday sales numbers.
