Hi, first time poster who stumbled across this site while looking for information about AdultDVDPacific. Although, I probably should have searched before placing an order...
Placed an order with them but got no registration email, or order confirmation email, or order sent email, or any email at all basically. Can't edit my registration on their site. Tried contacting them at their support email and got no responses.
A couple days ago I could see about two thirds of the order has been filled and there was a tracking ID which I've kept an eye on. It said "packed" for the other few titles but not shipped. About 36 hours ago (roughly) I tried to check their site to see if the remaining titles had been shipped and the site was down and it's been down since. Checked it a few times and used a 3rd party website checker and it's still down.
So, should I be worried? I believe I've only been charged for the shipped part of the order so far. It's hard to tell because the charge on my CC is from some random named company - although many companies seem to offer "discrete billing" so that may be ok. I find it most disturbing that there is no automated response emails, or personal replies to support request emails.
As an addendum, any suggestions on reliable DVD sites? I'm going to browse AdultDVDMarketplace (now that I know about it) but from what I can see the DVDs still come from a variety of different companies who may be more or less reliable than one another.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately you weren't aware of ADT earlier. Here is a disturbing previous thread from a few years ago. It's been a few years so perhaps somebody else now has the domain. Your best bet is to click under the "SHOP" header here on ADT. They list shops that sponsor this site and that gives you some indication they are actual retailers. The administrators of ADT do keep an eye out for any funny business and will pull any company that seems to not be doing their job. You are free to pick who you want to do your online dvd shopping with, but I myself use adultdvdempire.com. Their website shows what they do and do not have in stock. If they are down to their last copy it will indicate this and if you decide to order the dvd the site will indicate that the dvd is now "on order" and not currently in stock. I've never had them not ship out immediately what they listed as in stock. I just ordered this morning and got an immediate e-mail confirmation they received my order. A couple of hours later I got an e-mail with a tracking number listed. I use standard usps media mail (you can pick your shipping method, but media mail is free) so it does part way via ups and then goes into the usps mail stream for delivery via my postal carrier. Takes around 5-7 days to southern California from Adult DVD Empire's warehouse. It seems to be shipped from Ohio although the main company is located in Pennsylvania, I believe. It's a competitive business so I would suggest you investigate the other dealers listed under the shop header. I've been pleased with adultdvdempire.com, but perhaps somebody else listed could do you better or just as well.

I saw the old thread (after I'd ordered). When there was nothing more recent I wasn't sure whether they'd picked up their act or what.
Not really sure what to do now, have been partially billed but I got a tracking ID from the site before it went down and I can see the order seems to have been shipped (from Germany I might add). It's not a huge amount of money so I might let it go for the moment and hope it actually turns up.
Thanks, I might check out DVD Empire next time.

I wish I could find the thread, but I think AdultDVDPacific was once a supporter of this forum some years ago. Unfortunately they ran into some problems and kept posting they were working on the issues, but at one point basically ceased to operate or be a supporter/member of this forum. They were originally based here in the U.S., so I'm not sure why they are shipping from Germany. Somebody might have taken over the site's domain. It's possible maybe to avoid customs? I have no idea. I live in the states, but I would think your credit card provider might be able to get your money back via a charge back. Good luck, I'd be interested if it works out for you.

Yeah, that sounds like the thread I read. I saw that they had an account but it's deactivated.
To be honest, if the movies turn up I'll be happy, but I don't think I'll order from there again. It's a bit disturbing getting zero emails when making a purchase. Never dealt with a site that didn't email you practically every time you do anything order related. The site is at least back up now so maybe it's just a hiccup.
Haven't spent more than I can afford to lose. So I'll give it a week or two and see if anything turns up. Failing that I'll contact the CC company.

It looks like the site is the same code but the contact page is a new location. Back when they worked with us here they were one of the best outlets for international shoppers. Adult DVD Pacific was the online presence of a large movie distributor in Hawaii. They had very competitive shipping rates for international orders for some reason. I believe the owner of the company in Hawaii had serious health problems and retired/died or something along those lines. I have no idea who is operating the business now.

Thank you for giving us more information. With my increasing senility, I am always a little fearful I will pass out misinformation.

Just to provide a little more information if other people are looking at this - the first part of the shipment arrived fine. Somewhere between two and three weeks, which is about usual here in Australia when dealing with "normal" overseas shipping and customs. The right movies turned up and they seem to be decent quality not dodgy knockoffs. Watched one and it played just fine.
Remaining five titles are still on backorder and I haven't been billed for them yet. Looks like one of them may have been removed from their inventory since I can't even find it listed on their site anymore. The other four all say "ships within 2-3 days". Annoyingly the remaining titles keep changing price and that *seems* to affect what my next bill will be. That's all well and good if the prices drop, but not if they go up. That really needs to be a fixed price once you've made the purchase. Won't know for sure until it ships and I get billed. Seriously thinking about cancelling the remainder of the order to be honest.
I tried a different email address (Billing) and got a reply which answered a couple of my questions. Apparently they've passed on my comments about issues with the site to their tech people. Still find it pretty disturbing that an online shopping site flat out doesn't work properly, they're the sort of bugs that really should have been fixed before it went live not after people complain about them (assuming they get fixed).
At this point I guess I'm satisfied that they're not a scam. But I couldn't recommend buying from them because of the problems with their purchasing system.
