My impression reading about it makes it seem a little like an autograph show, where you get to meet some of the stars. But is there more to it? Are their dealers who sell stuff, and if so what do they sell? Are there sessions where you get to talk to, for instance, a few of the Vivid girls and talk about their career? or are autographs and the awards ceremony the only things that truly happen there? I'm an uber nerd, and if I could afford it and it was closer to me, I would go this January. Edited: I should say that this was my personal perspective from attending in 2011 and 2009. I haven't been in a while, but that was what it was when I have been there. The awards are held Saturday night and are separate from the convention. Of course, who you know dictates what all experience you have. I had a blast, spent most of one day with Devinn Lane and have no complaints. If you go, enjoy yourself, they are lots of fun and probably a once in a lifetime experience. Except for those who go more than once .... |
