After I saw Fashionistas , I thought, great! I like features. But I don't know where to find any besides F that aren't tamed down. I have looked at Loaded , and Repo Girl , and they look like they might be good movies, but I read reviews that the sex is too light . I'm getting off topic. Anyway, I would love more feature porn with a harder edge. I'm looking for more now, I just haven't found any. I'll even take suggestions if it isn't too off topic. [Link] |

Thomas Zupko, for instance, made movies like In the Days of Whore and The Abyss that were plot-driven porn, but with over-the-top, hard-edge, gonzo-style sex thrown in for good measure. Other directors (including John Stagliano) have also used that approach before. I'm not knocking it, but I definitely don't see gonzo categorically evolving into porn like that. I don't see gonzo ever going away. The style that gonzo is done in will evolve, but gonzo itself (as a genre) will stay. By comparison, jazz has been around for decades and is here to stay. The style that various groups play jazz varies through time ('smooth jazz' is popular at the moment), but jazz as a genre remains and I think will always be.
