Hello, so i had this thought in my mind for a while now and i would like to hear some other opinions on the matter. As you all are aware, the demand of performers doing specific sexual acts on their scenes such as IR or anal or threesomes or gangbangs , dp's and so on. I couldn't help it but have this question, after a pornstar has done everything there is in the mainstream scene, then where does she go from there? I mean, a new model comes up and soon after you see comments like "i can't wait to see her doing anal" and then she actually does it and then you see comments like "Do IR" and she does soon after and then comes all the other things she is wished/requested/forced to do and at some point you reached the point where she has done everything. Won't people lose interest in her persona after that?
Take for example Adriana Chechik, she has done everything you would wish her to see, now every time a new scene comes with her i don't even care anymore, it's not like i haven't seen her do it before nor that the new scene would have something new to offer since it would be the same thing with possible the same positions from a studio that does the same thing over and over with just different stars in it. Same with one of my favorites Janice Griffith, she has done everything there is to do and even though i really really like watching her getting fucked, now i just "meh".
So what's your opinion on this? and also do you think would be better for some pornstars to have some kind of "expiration date"? Also what you think about pornstars after doing everything to just retire from the mainstream scene and open their personal site so only true fans that really wanna keep following, do.
I don't like the idea that a porn actress should have an expiry date. If I lose interest, I won't buy her content but it's not my place to say she should quit.
I don't think a porn actress' career peaks when she does sexual act A or B. I'd say it happens when she no longer feels the same enjoyment doing her job.
I can't say I've lost interest in a porn actress due to her doing X and Y as I'm not the kind of porn fan who thinks she should have a specific tick list of sexual acts to perform. My interest wavers for different reasons.
Two things....First this is why despite what fans want this is why a pornstar should pace her career and not do everything from the very beginning of their career. Some girls can get away with it because they have such massive appeal but for most girls I think it's best if they hold off doing everything to start and over time work up to doing certain things. Fans of course want a girl to do everything from the start but all that does is limit her self life for most fans.
Second, even after a girl does pretty much everything there is to do doesn't mean everyone has seen her do all those things or even watches all those things. I tend to discover scenes from a girl long after she shot them and like to see a variety of scenes from her. I just don't automatically gravitate to her newest stuff.
Let me first preface that the first thing a performer should do once she has done everything her fans expected her to do is to do it all over again multiple times and for multiple producers because the one thing we can all agree on is that one is a lonely number when it comes to porn scenes from our favorite models. Where we may disagree is what number is too much.
Since the OP mentioned Adriana then let's use her as an example. She is a six years porn veteran with over 500 porn scenes to her name and we aren't talking about only tame porn scenes. When I think of what a true pornstar is then performers like Adriana are at the top of my list because only an actual pornstar can be popular for such a long time. A decade from now people will still be interested in watching her past scenes. She is one of todays poster child for what a performer does once she has done everything and her example demonstrates that it actually works. I'm going to refrain from saying that Adriana is past her self-life because that's not up to me as a fan of hers.
I don't know what the magical number is for something to be considered too much but I would say that if a performer is able to act a certain way on screen then that number will be significantly larger than someone who can't do the same. Adriana as I stated is a great example because her performances in her scenes are amazing and I'm not just talking the sex portion but the other stuff that people like me enjoy from their performers.
I think Draxxx makes a lot of sense with telling performers to pace themselves but (you knew there would be one) I don't know if the current state of the porn industry is one where that is possible. At least for most performers. Some can do it successfully but a large portion of them won't be able to do it because if they do then the phone will stop ringing and that will be the end of their short porn career.
Let me use an example of two fairly new and very popular performers that are both close in age and started at about the same time. Whitney Wright and Alina Lopez. Both are represented by Mark Spiegler so you know they have amazing representation and counsel on what makes a good porn career. Whitney started in 2016 but 2017 is her actual breakout year. Alina started in 2017 but 2018 is her breakout year. Based on IAFD data. Whitney has 291 titles to her name which is more than twice as much as Alina's 138 and while some could argue that since Whitney started a year earlier than she would have an advantage but the reality is that Whitney's dance card is more impressive than Alina because Whitney is willing to do anal and dp's while Alina is still holding on to those two things. I like both women's acting talent when it comes to playing an actual role and they are impressive sexual performers as well. I hope I'm wrong but somehow I don't think Alina will have as good a career as Whitney nor will it be as long because even if she were to start doing all those things that we want her to do. I think that her pacing is starting too look a lot like stalling and while I have no problem with performers career decision. That kind of very, very slow pacing can kill a porn career.

And depressing if that's actually how we as consumers look at it.
Draxxx was spot on - performers should have an idea of how long they want to be in the industry and set their goals for 'firsts' along that timeline. Maybe that's wishful thinking, or overthinking, but going 0-60 with checking all the boxes on the porn menu card will make 'fans' happy only until someone new comes along and then their appeal as a performer wanes... and for what? There is a neverending supply of newbies entering the business and the only way to keep ahead of that wave is through quality, which keeps actual fans with her for the long haul.
So my answer is that once everything has been done once she should start to do it better. An actress knows who she wants to appeal to and who she wants her fanbase to consist of so it's wise for her to up her game and concentrate on doing the scenes that they'll desire most. Key in the equation is teaming with studios, directors, etc... who will produce the content well and promote it to keep people coming back.
Regarding an expiration date, I think those are self-applied when someone rushes to do everything too quickly without being able to answer the OP's question.
There's no one size fits all when it comes to pacing. There's no one size fits all when it comes to which act a girl decides to do first. Riley Reid was a huge star for a long time before she did anal. She probably would stay a big star without it. However, she did do IR. Is IR more popular or important than anal in the porn biz? Would she as popular doing anal but not doing IR? I have no idea. Can a girl sustain a long career not doing either? Also, pacing doesn't always mean waiting years to start branching out. Some girls can go years waiting to do things...some can't or don't want to. I like how Karma RX didn't wait too long (in my opinion) before starting to do anal and IR and then IR anal, blowbangs and such. I think she made some solid career decisions. Elsa Jean hasn't done anal and still holds appeal. I think Elsa's career might falter not because she doesn't do anal but more because she seems stuck in "Teen/sister/daughter" role. We hardly see Elsa playing a sexy "woman". If she doesn't make the transition her porn career won't be all that it can be because a girl can only play that for so long before all the studios that make that type of porn will get to the point that they don't want to shoot her anymore.
Then there's someone like Holly Hendrix. I think she's a great performer but she's kinda stuck in a typecast where I don't think people want to see anything but extreme anal acts from her. Where as Adriana Chechik can star in a variety of porn that doesn't expect hardcore circus acts from her, Holly is typecast as an extreme performer even though both girls can do the extreme stuff. I think one of the advantages Adriana has is people tend to see her as a "woman" and Holly is seen as a "teen".
That statement implies that a late teen to early 20 years old woman looking to make money by doing porn has an actual career plan beyond foolishly thinking that they can make huge sums of money doing porn. That's hard to believe. Especially when they have no idea of what it means to do porn. The best most newbies can hope for is to meet an agent that has good contacts and is willing to help them mold a career path that will help them meet whichever goal they have.
^^I agree that there is no one size fits all because there are too many parameters that can affect the length of a performers career and some of them are beyond her control. The first one is her overall appearance on day one. An all natural young looking woman with no ink (or very little) is likely to get more offers than someone who isn't all natural, slightly older and with some hard to miss ink on her body. That's not to say that women who fall in the second category can't have very long and lucrative career but I would say that in general most of them tend to leave the industry faster than their counterparts because fewer doors were open to them on day one and that only got worse the longer they stayed.

I'm all about pacing and building up the hype to finally deliver in a porn scene, (like Rachel Starr did with her anal scenes or Nicole Aniston with her anal and IR scenes) but then you have impatience taking over because maybe the star is pushing it for too long (like Madison Ivy) and then the scene itself is crappy and you think it was all for nothing, and then you hope for better scenes with that specific act (regardless what is) just to feel satisfied and all that waiting gets a meaning.
I believe there is an expiration date in the pornstar career that gets shorter and shorter with every milestone. Riley Reid was mentioned above, how long till she gets irrelevant? I honestly believe after a girl does a dp gangbang scene she is done and it's all downhill from there and my example is the Legal porno site, i had my eyes in some of their performers but after 3 or 4 scenes with them getting dped and gangbanged every time i lost my interest. Maybe is just me though.
I have caught myself looking for a more intimate, behind closed doors kinda scenes and that takes me to amateur porn more and more like couples channels on pornhub or such where you get to see them really enjoying their sex session rather than just pleasing the audience which is what porn is all about.
So in conclusion, i too, think that newcomers should really plan ahead and act accordingly with their fame, not meaning that they "must" do stuff they don't want because they are requested to. And not really dive headfirst into it, i mean a girl does a first anal and it's a good scene and everyone losses their shit and say "do anal with X studio next" or "when is next anal" and stuff...in my opinion they should not do it again for at least 3-5 months, to build up the hype again

I guess you must be really disappointed by Angela White's ongoing ascent as the Queen or the Duchess Julia Ann closing in on nearly 30 years in the industry. I hate to point a shotgun at your hypothesis but that largely applies only to the fanatics. You see a variety of porn fans simply aren't happy unless there's something new or otherwise extreme in every scene. I'm different, I actually like seeing what each performer brings to the table or is able to coax out of another performer. This is why Mick Blue is in high demand for being a female performer's first anal, why Manuel has been three time performer of the year. The staying power of an adult performer is versatility and the connection they form with whomever they are with in the scene.

I agree in a broad sense with the idea that there is no "one path" to a sustainable, long-term career as a female porn performer. But there are some patterns that seem to work.
1) It really helps to be classically good looking and have an outstanding body with low body fat. A lot of these girls that come into the business at 18-21 have the beauty of youth, but really are more "cute" than truly good looking. And also, even if they are slender, they aren't truly fit, and so after a couple of years that tight body starts to get some folds in it and the phone stops ringing. That's not to say that there isn't room for thicker girls, but it does make it harder. Abella Danger, while not classically beautiful, has always maintained her slender frame, which I think has probably really helped her longevity. Nicole Aniston was not classically beautiful, but she used plastic surgery to become that way and her body is near perfect. Brandi Love is 46 and as popular as ever, even though her scenes are essentially all the same and she's never done anal.
2) Be a good performer. Again, Abella Danger is a good example of this because she was a great performer from day one. Opinions may differ on Nicole Aniston, but I would say that she's at least "good enough" that fans are still interested in seeing her take a dick. I'm one of those fans. Brandi Love is a great performer and so even though her scenes are basically all the same, it doesn't seem to matter.
3) Be reliable and easy to work with. This might be the most important part of making the transition from "newbie teen" to a longer-term, sustained career in front of the camera. I don't know what the exact size of the industry is, but there are a ton of websites out there that need to get content shot and posted to maintain and grow their subscriber base. And so while everyone wants to shoot whoever the newest hotties are, there are always producers that just need to book slots in their production schedule. In one sense, it's a bit like an assembly line where you're cranking out widgets. Yes, you would love to have that gorgeous, tight bodied teen up there on your site, but what you really need is content every 3 days or 5 days or whatever it is, and so the models you book for those slots will tend to be the ones that show up on time, are the most professional, and know how to handle themselves on-set.
On the idea of a performer expanding her limits as she progresses through her career - I think this is fine and usually a good idea, but not necessarily the most important thing. Also, if she doesn't expand her menu quickly enough, it may make it harder to transition to the longer-term career phase.
Well then she shouldn't strive to 'do everything'. Doing everything won't lead to good most of the time anyway, anal preps are tough on the body and mind and things like DAP and rough anal in general are terrible for your health. I'm not saying I'm one of these porn fans who pretends to care so much about performers as if they're personal friends, but I would never hold it against them if they don't want to wear adult diapers for the rest of their lives or deal with the permanent STD's that come with such a career.
I don't have stats at hand but I'm pretty sure the vanilla performers who hold out on those acts or never do them have much longer careers and health. Daisy Marie never did anal or those circus acts but I never lost interest in her for the decade+ she was around.

^Yeah, the "do everything" girls that are doing gangbangs, double anal, and getting peed on do seem to get shot out more quickly.
It's not just you but for lots of fans this isn't always true. Using Riley as an example, yes she does anal, DPs, gangbangs and such now but for many fans it's still special because she doesn't do it all the time. I think as long as it doesn't become a totally common thing with her she'll be fine. Plus, she saves some of that for her site so it's not as available for casual fans. But yeah, there are fans who mostly or only a certain type of porn and for those fans they must always have a steady stream of new faces doing those acts because they get jaded watching thing over and over. It's either new faces or make the scenes more extreme. If not then boredom sets in for them. On the flip side is Holly Hendrix. Holly is a great performer but she's stuck in a cycle of doing hard anal and extreme gangbang scenes. And while they're usually good scenes at this point it's hard for anyone to get too excited about her scenes because it's usually just more of the same. A great example of this is the LEGAL PORNO thread here. Most of the guys there complain about the quality of the scenes not being as good as the older stuff and complaining about the same girls doing so many scenes but in reality a big part of their boredom or dissatisfaction is really coming from them watching a steady diet of the same sort of scene over and over even though they don't see it that way.Maybe, maybe not. I think a girl can get away with more and work steadily if she's doing a variety of porn. Angela White does a little bit of everything and is able to hop around and appeal to a lot of different fan bases. Some girls are stuck in a particular genre and can't seem to break free. Some girls seem stuck only doing MILF scenes. Some girls are stuck in the "teen" genre. Some girls are stuck doing mostly over the top extreme stuff. The girls who have appeal in different genres so they are able to hop around and not overstay their welcome in one or two genres usually have the more sustainable careers.
Interesting topic. I think you can roughly group together the did-everything performers that took a "career" approach and those that just follwed the biggest check in front of them at the time. The former tend to do everything then ease back into more vanilla work banking on their name and the quality of the studios (Lisa Ann, Julia Ann, Ava Addams). They each had a period of filming "no way, SHE did that?!" scenes that hopefully meant windfall paydays for them and increased their profile/clout even further. Then they basically just shoot occasionally with blue chip studios for the check.
On the other hand, we have those who ramp up quickly, do everything conceivable, then vanish in under two years. That's about 95% of the extreme out the gate performers (in my entirely subjective estimate), and the other 5% are the ones that get typecast as "extreme performers".
Adriana Chechik is an exception. She came out of the gate extreme. But she's also strikingly good looking (not even a huge fan but I believe it's to the extent that it's acceptable as an objective statement) which helps her be versatile. As Draxxx said, she's buyable as sexy/womanly and girly and straight up filthy.
Not every girl can pull off an Adriana career, regardless of her intangibles or planning. Syren De Mer is another current actress who has and is still doing everything without being pigeonholed. Can't think of others off the top of my head.
I keep noticing people using performers who are pre-2008 and I think they should stick with post-2008 performers because the former had significantly greater advantages to their later counterpart because there were simply more studios shooting before 2008 than after.

Honestly it all depends on looks and thus popularity. The hotter a girl is, the more she's able to space out her career and increase her longevity.
Not to diss anyone, but the 5/10 looks that some porn-stars have would never have a long career doing only g/g, and are forced to do more...Where as hot girls like Kenna James and Malena Morgan can make careers out of just g/g.
In the past, the many successful pornstars had well paced out careers. Girls like Jenna Jameson, Devon, Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross, Stoya, Jessica Drake, Stormy, and there're all stunningly hot.
One exception would be Sasha Grey, she was hardcore from the start, but she was also hot as hell.
I don't think it's fair to compare the success that those girls had to the modern pornstars of today simply because porn as profession doesn't make nearly enough money as it used to.
The pacing of a good porn career would follow something like this (give or take):
Start at 18
G/G 2 years B/G 2 years Anal 2 years IR 1 years DP 1 year GB 1 year
Retire at 28 and start a family and hope the internet forgets you, or start directing porn
But recently girls are not interested in the long term and tend to blow out too quickly and fans lose interest in them. The issue is that there's so many more girls in porn nowadays and the porn business has taken a dive as a profession.
Adriana is a good example of a girl who would of blown out too fast, but because she's hot she stayed relevant for a bit longer. But I'd say many people (including myself) have nothing more to see of her and have lost interest.
Chanel Preston has been in the industry for nearly 10 years. She's done plenty and I am more than happy to see her keep doing it. My enjoyment of her work hasn't waned in all that time.
Looks can play a big role in popularity but I see lots of good looking girls in porn flying under the radar and get work but I don't consider "popular". Looks are subjective though so it's hard to make a case for it. I think the biggest part of becoming "popular" depends on if a girl can get work at the big studios like JULES JORDAN, EVIL ANGEL, BLACKED, TUSHY, ELEGANT ANGEL, etc., etc...I see extremely hot women doing scenes for studios like SCORE, NEW SENSATIONS, even smaller sites and often wonder how they aren't a bigger deal in the porn world.
Then there are girls who seem to have the right aspects to be big but somehow never achieve the popularity level you think they would. I thought Brittney White would be a very popular pornstar. She had the looks, great body, incredible natural breasts, and she was black during a time when there were very few stand out black female performers. Also surprised Mariah Mills didn't become a bigger deal. She was black with that over the top glam/bimbo look when there wasn't that many black girls in that role.
There are always plenty of stunning girls in porn but the ones you named had the big advantage of being contract girls for major companies. Their companies made them popular by promoting them all the time. Hard to prove but I'd say a few of the names you list would've never had anywhere near their popularity if they had to make it on their own in the Gonzo world without the big studio hype behind them.I'm a huge fan of Sasha. Sasha is one of those girls who had "it". Sasha was incredibly sexy but I wouldn't say she was stunning or beautiful yet I can't take my eyes off her. I thought her butt incredible but her body overall wasn't fantastic. But she had this look and sexiness to her and it's just hot to watch have sex. She's one of my all time favs. She's just one of those girls who are extremely watchable. I think she'd still be a big star in porn if she hadn't left. Her doing it all from the start only made her even more popular. Most other girls would've burned through their career in a short time if they came in doing it all like Sasha.
I don't think the money is as big a factor as the girls face much more competition to stay on top or carve out a name for themselves. I'm not real big on G/G so I tend to think starting a career doing only G/G is a waste of time building a porn career unless the girl simply doesn't want to shoot with dudes. I'm still not sure if doing anal is more important to a porn career than IR at this point in porn in terms of popularity. Would Alexis Texas be a bigger star if she choose IR over anal to sometimes do? I also think a girl can be a big star without doing DPs or Gangbangs. But then there have been plenty of big stars how only did B/G with no anal or IR or Gangbangs. Those girls wouldn't appeal much to most of the people on this forum but in the porn world it's very possible.
On the flip side, there are girls who do all the things mentioned and still fly under the radar and are barely known.
I often wonder about this. Are there really less studios shooting or less major studios shooting. To me it seems like there are a lot more sites shooting but most of them are so small they don't make much of a blimp in the porn arena. Or is it just less in general?
I tend to think of girls like Julia Ann and Lisa Ann as "comeback" girls. I don't keep up on this stuff as much as some of you and maybe they were both always in the biz and never really left but anyway...With "comeback" girls I think some girls leave the industry and years later try to make a comeback but the only way it works is they have to do stuff they hadn't done before. Lots of girls make comebacks but the ones that seem to have the most success are the ones who turn things up a few notches and offer something new. Even the ones who were wilder before they left and simply come back to do more wild things have a harder time making it work. I think for Julia Ann and Ava it's not that they are cutting back on the wild stuff is because they've put in their time with it and don't feel the need to try and keep doing it at this point. They're getting older and don't need the stress on their bodies.
I think the girls who have short careers even though they do all the acts they can simply leave because they come to realize they aren't becoming the big star they imagined and the money simply isn't worth it to them for the stuff they have to keep doing. After watch a documentary on pornstars I was surprised to find out that the expenses for maintaining a pornstar career can be costly.
Adrianna is great. And as big a star as she is I've always felt she should be an even bigger deal than she is/was. Angela White seemed to appear out of nowhere all of a sudden. Was Angela's career a slow build and I just wasn't aware or did she hit the ground doing pretty much everything?
In my mind the most amazing career in porn is Riley Reid. What makes it so amazing is that most girls of her type come into porn and are stuck playing "teen" roles. Riley did the teen stuff and crossed over to play other generes and become one of the top girls for years. What makes it even more amazing is Riley was so popular for so long but couldn't do or cash in on lots of the big porn genres. She couldn't do Big Boobs, Big Butt, or MILF. She wasn't a contract girl with a studio helping to make her popular. She went for years without circus act stuff or anal or DPs or Gangbangs. Riley became a top pornstar mostly off the strength of being Riley and being extremely watchable.

^ Riley will be an interesting performer to watch as the years grind on because she doesn't have a look that ages well. Understand, she has a naturally youthful appearance that hasn't diminished at all since I remember first seeing her so many years ago. But that can tend to work against her because she still appears young enough to pull off the student, stepdaughter, younger woman role but her body and image doesn't look like it'll flip into the other side of the RP spectrum anytime soon, if ever. If she's still active years from now she'll either be doing the same repetitive roles that grow tiresome, we all know they do, or she'll be shoehorned into a role that doesn't work - too old to fit into the 'younger' role but not mature looking enough to fit into the 'older' role.
Caprice has the same image issue, she looks barely older than she did 10yrs ago which is amazing - but she controls her content and brand so is more or less immune from what the industry demands from others. Aaliyah Love is another case of someone who is too old to be the 'younger' but at the same time looks awkward being the 'older' - it's bizarre.
I love Riley to death but I think it'll get awkward or boring soon, which is unfortunate.
I get what you're saying but I think what you're talking about is years away from happening if it happens at all. I think Riley will retire before it happens or if she chooses to stay she could very well pull it off in her later years because her actual looks is only a part of her overall appeal. There are girls who look better or look younger or perform harder than her currently and yet she is a bigger draw than them. She may transition to become a different type of pornstar. Of course she won't be as popular because that's nearly impossible because maintain that type of status unless there's some sort of change with her or what popular in the porn world. Girls with a youthful look have made the transition from teen to more "womanly/older" roles. She does that kind of stuff already. So unless she just somehow totally lost her looks I think studios just not wanting to keep shooting her over and over again will be more of an issue than her looks.
I don't know what your criteria is for a studio to be considered major but even a minor one that actually produces or buys from producers is still a job opportunity for a performer. Here is a sample of now dead sites that weren't in 2008.
4-Play, Acid rain, Adam & Eve, Anarchy, Anabolic, Celestial, Diabolic, Digital Playground, Digital Sin, Evolution, Evasive Angle, Extreme Associates, Harmony Films, JM Production, Kick Ass, Platinum X, Red Light District, Sin City, Smash Picture, Vivid, West Coast and I could add studios that aren't dead but are so close to it that it almost doesn't matter.
This is why veteran performers have always advised that the newbies don't dive in and do DAPs first. Unfortunately in the days of Twitter that's no longer possible because the most extreme acts go viral, so the new girls are best served by go there and then somehow keep trying to escalate.
Yeah, but the question was are there more studios shooting day than there was a few years ago. Yes, the studios you name are gone but in that time some have been added. We have major ones like BLACKED that didn't exist back then. You also have smaller ones like TEENSLOVEBLACKCOCK or GIRLSDOPORN and tons of others that I don't think existed back then. Is there more shooting of porn in general than there was years ago?
To me, it has less to do with the audience getting bored with the actress and more to do with the actress getting bored or hating their job.
Here's an example, Jennifer White. She entered the scene a long time ago. The very first Jennifer White scene I watched was her taking it up the ass. She did anal right out the gates. Today, if a new Jenny White scene is released I'm looking forward to it and it will most likely be a 10/10 scene because you can see she's still into her job and gives it 100%. Jennifer White has done brutal facefucking scenes, gangbangs and even shot for LegalPorno! Yet she still loves what she does and so her scenes are always a breath of fresh air.
Now look at someone like Rachel Starr, hot as hell, done like 3 anal scenes, never done a gangbang, never done facefucking. I don't even care if she releases a new scene because I know what to expect. A very tame (yet skillful) blowjob, followed by her same dirty talk then followed by her faking it and not being into the sex and then a good pop shot (she does take a cum shot to the face like a champ I must say).
These are the best examples I can think of. To me it's about a girl giving it 100%.
I'll tell you what I told Skin Diamond. You know which Skin Diamond scene is my favorite? The next one. As long as a favorite performer keeps making scenes, I'll keep watching. And when she stops, she'll have left a collection.
Not doing those acts doesn't mean she's not giving it her all. Rachel has a limited list of things she'll do and has a certain style which I like. Selfish Porn watchers(not saying you are) who are strictly into extreme acts have the idea that any girl who doesn't do the acts that they like she must be a terrible performer.
That's why you can never win with them unless you do 'everything' which again, very very few performers can do without mental and physical health problems down the line.

Also i want to ask something, regardless of how the performer feels, should she do the acts the public wants, to please them? And please don't start with the "her body her choice" obviously it applies but i'm talking about if she is willing to do it even though she doesn't like it for the sole purpose of satisfying her audience. Kinda like Jim Carrey did the Cringe where he absolutely HATED the costume and he had to wait for hours to put it on and it was painful to be in it too, or how some directors put their actors through a lot of shit during the shootings. Obviously not talking about raping before you derail it....
^I think of it similarly to how you would any career. For those of us that're lucky/talented enough to have in-demand skills, do you take the job that pays okay but it's relatively easy and has great work/life balance, or the job that pays amazing but comes with loads of stress and things you'd rather not deal with?
I'm sure a lot of these women are legitimate freaks (in the complimentary sense), but they're generally not dying to do blowbangs and gangbangs and swallow as much cum as they can on the daily in their personal lives.
For some I'm sure it's a cleaner cut decision than others based on countless factors, but I do believe that's still the gist of it.
Let's say for argument sake that the 20 studios I named only released one new movie each month. That would still mean 80 job opportunities for performers every month because each movie had at least 4 sex scenes and if we expand to a full year than that was nearly 1000 job each year for performers of that time period. Your average site normally releases one new scene each 5 days which comes out to about 73 videos each year. You need at least 13 sites to match the same output as those 20 studios in 2008 and since most studios released more than one movie each month than that 1000 job opportunities was likely 2000 and above.
You'll notice that I avoided naming studios that while they are still releasing new content. Aren't the powerhouse they once were and therefore their actual output is now significantly smaller and all those past job opportunities are gone so that adds to the issue facing newer porn performers. Something else to consider is that many studios now release the videos of other porn sites so that while you might see many new titles. They aren't new job opportunities since the performer was only paid once. Just look at Evil Angel one of the biggest studios in the history of porn. How many of their movies are now exclusive content VS leased material available on other platforms? Here is quick sample: True Anal, Swallowed, Bryan Gozzling and Bam Vision. These can't be counted as job opportunities since the women got paid when they did the scene for those sites.
No she shouldn't. All that does is make the girl want to leave porn faster than she would've otherwise. No one wants to do stuff they don't like on an ongoing basis. I know the first thought is "She'll only have to do it once..." but that's never the case. Anytime a girl does something fans have been bugging her to do, once is never enough and after she's done the fans want her to take it to the next level. Long story short, for most fans it's never enough. Prime example: Riley Reid. She came on here and announced she's finally doing anal. I'm sure she was happy to announce it and thought fans would be happy also. Nope. Some were. But it was lots of "fans" upset over the studio she was doing it for, the guy she was doing it with, etc...Then immediately starting naming the studio/director she needed to do it with, the biggest guys they could thing of for her to do it with, and so on. After she had done a couple of anal scenes, then the begging for DPs and gangbangs started. After she started doing those they started pestering for more of them. Then they want more hardcore and extreme DPs and gangbangs. It's never good enough for some fans and it's a mistake for any girl to do anything she doesn't to think if she does it once or twice and they'll stop pestering her.
^^While on principle you make complete sense and in a perfect world this would be the rule that govern anyone who wants to do porn but you have to realise that in reality that is the one thing that performers aren't allowed to do if they want to have any kind of career. Now that doesn't mean that you don't have a tiny amount of performers that have managed to do the impossible and that is to have both longevity and a profitable career. One of the best example is Shyla Jennings who has never done anything other than g/g porn and is still active nearly a dozen years after starting to do porn.
The harsh reality is that if a performer wants a long and profitable porn career than at some point she will have to do things that if she didn't have to then she wouldn't. I mean how often do we hear of a performer only wanting to work with her significant other? How many have managed to do that and have a career? Do you know the number of time I see a performer in a lesbian scene and it's beyond obvious that she doesn't like girls and would rather not be doing what she is doing? Do you really think that performers want to have a relative stranger fuck them for over an a hour while having a bunch of people look on and where she isn't moderately turned on and the guy is pile driving into her because that's what the scene requires? Do we really believe that so many performers are into anal and absolutely love doing it? Especially when the anal scene will be just like the one I described above and the guy is pile driving into her ass?
Porn is basically like being a movie star who signs up for an action movie but finds out that she has to not only play a role but also has to do her own stunts and they are going to get harder and harder because that's what the movie needs.

If a star has done everything it should not matter. If they enjoy what they do there is no rule that they need to retire. If they have done everything thry shouldn't have trouble getting booked either cuz I would imagine they would be popular. I know Monique Alexander has been around for a long time, Idk if she has done everything per say but to be around for so long she must enjoy performing. If an athlete accomplishes winning an MVP and a championship within a few years of playing they aren't going to stop. As long as a performer wants to continue after they have done everything there is no reason for them to stop unless they decide to retire.
I wouldn't watch such a scene. If she says she's doing something to please the "fans" who are keen or demand to do something, that has to be secondary to her wanting to do it herself for me to take interest.
Working to please the public sounds like a recipe to getting jaded or burnt out very quickly.
^If that's the case then you better turn your computer off because if you believe that the vast majority of the women who do porn do so because they love what they are doing than you are fooling yourself. The best you can hope is that the women look like they enjoy it.

after a star has done "everything" I still enjoy her if she is one of mu favorites,I would like to see Adriana Chechik do more when shaved, but I am willing to buy anything Adriana Chechik and Angela White are in if it features double vag, or triple penetration. I would love to see more of them as they are great actresses. I am totally disappointed to see films features the latest unattractive person they found to add "filler" into a video when there are proven professionals that look and perform better. Even after a star does "everything" I want to see more, of "everything" In real life do you get tired if a woman does it all? no, you want to do more, porns the same
There are several things that need to be pointed out here....First, doing something because the fans pestered a girl into doing it is completely different than a girl deciding to do it because they thought it was time. Most girls do an act because they've decided it was time for them to do it or they were ready to do it. With my Riley example, Riley finally did anal because she was ready to do it and knew it would boost her career not because fans hounded her to do it. If she was really listening to fans she would've tried doing it long ago. She did it when she was ready, not because of fan pressure. Fans like to think they have more power over these girls than they actually do and the girls play off it like they're doing it for the fans but that's not always the case. I'd be willing to bet that if fans didn't demand anal from Riley she would've still done anal anyway. However, there are girls who may feel the need to give the fans what they want because their career isn't going as they'd hoped and they willing to try anything. And those girls usually don't last long or stop doing what they don't like. Doing porn can be hard enough but toss in doing stuff you don't want to do and it can take it's toll. All of this is to make the very important point...Listening to the fans isn't the key to a long career. The girl doing what they like(or don't mind too much) is more important because if they actually stay active long enough they might eventually come around to doing all that stuff fans want but on their own terms at their own time.
Secondly, there are lots of girls who have long careers who do exactly what they want to do. Sara Jay has been around for years without anal, DPs, gangbangs, or any sort of extreme acts. I'm pretty sure fans have been bugging her to do all those things. There are plenty more like her. Maybe the people here and who crave the extreme stuff don't seek her out or think of her as a fav but she's had a long career and is still fairly popular overall. Plenty of girls out there with long careers that fly under the radar just doing what they are comfortable with and not giving in to fans.
Lastly, listening to fans covers a long list of weird kinks that don't include anal, DPs, IR, and gangbangs. Some fans want watersports, bondage, sex with transgenders, intentionally painful sex, being overly racist in a scene, creampies, gaping/rosebuds, fisting, and whatever thing they're into. When talking about girls listening to fans we need to keep in mind that there's a long list of things some fans want that wouldn't help their career at all.
In most cases fans pestering girls to do whatever is a waste of time really. These girls work in the porn industry. You think they aren't aware of anal sex and that it is popular and pays more? Same with IR, DPs, gangbangs or whatever. Between agents and fellow performers giving them the true lowdown on the ups and downs of doing these things I really don't see the need of a fan to constantly bug a girl to do something. It's more than fine to ask if and when but to just badger her constantly is a waste of time.
That's cute. I assume they do enjoy it but I'm under no mistaken impression that there is joy coming from the money first. My example was Michelle James openly stating one of her anal scenes being done more because fans wanted it than she wanted to do it so I haven't watched it.
I can say with all honesty that I wasn't trying to be cute or funny but was serious. Now I'm assuming based on this post that you were using hyperbole statements in your previous post because what you meant is that you won't watch a scene if the performer mentions not enjoying what she did. I completely understand why you would avoid those scenes but I would argue that if you use Michelle as an example. Regardless of what Michelle wrote/said about anal. She was a pro in her only anal scene because you do not see any pain or discomfort and she looked like she was enjoying it.

^ I am a big Michele James fan and I am with you, she did enjoy herself in that anal scene. One of the reasons Michele is one of my faves is because you can tell how much she is enjoying herself during her scenes.
This brings up something I've never agreed with a lot of fans take on. Many fans seem to think the girls in porn don't enjoy shooting porn and that it's something they dislike and it's only done for the money. I absolutely agree that the girls are doing it for the money but I tend to think many like shooting or at the very least don't mind it. The way some people talk they seem to think the girls don't like doing sex scenes but force themselves to go through just for the money and it's something they just don't enjoy. I'm sure there might be some girls like that or certain shoots that girls don't like doing but overall I've never seen much to imply that the majority of the girls hate having sex on camera. When we see most girls behind the scenes footage they seem happy to be there and friendly with their co-stars. Some will say this is acting but I hardly ever get that vibe. I've seen interviews with current and ex pornstars and most will complain about certain aspects of shooting porn but very few complain overall about the sex.
