Will some people seek it out? Yes.

Should pornstars or their estates have to consent to it? Yes.

Will that happen? Maybe, especially for business savvy pornstars.

I wouldn't doubt, however, that after a wave of lawsuits around using the likeness of certain pornstars to produce revenue-generating AI porn, most AI porn companies will simply focus on creating a set of standalone AI characters that won't infringe on people's rights. And AI companies will also focus on user-generated AI porn.

Think of it like video games. Some games have a nicely curated and thoughtful single player experience, while others are built for sandbox. I think we'll see the same for AI companies and, presumably, some of these companies could offer exclusive likenesses of retired and/or deceased pornstars.

Isn't the point of hardcore sex (it is for me) that it's real body parts? - a stiff pickle (or a toy) entering an actual human orifice? This is the opposite, digital fakery, less than convincing computer tricks, AI giving people 6 fingers.

I have no doubt that AI probably will allow for endless possibilities and that limits of taste and government enforcement will end up battling it out. It will allow some unpleasant / distasteful things to be made. One thing people could try out violates boundaries everywhere (I don't need to mention what) but amateurs at home *will* tinker with AI programs to make all sorts of things visually possible.

I can believe though they will probably start with and popularise major Hollywood / pop stars of the day before they get to, with respect, old porn has beens because there will be a bigger marker for it.

You see it around now, but I could certainly see a major explosion in the next 3 years or so in all kinds of this sort of content. I probably won't watch, just like I listen to no AI music now, it just would not appeal to my sensibilites as I was saying earler.

Also if you take, for a few example, Anastasia Blue, Allie Sinn, Jenna whoever... we already have literally 50-70-120 porn scenes of them all that you can easily find with miinimal effort and a small fee, how much more do you really need when you get down to it?

This strange desire we have to deny the finality of death, to bring people back as simulacra is everywhere in our culture these days: holograms of Tupac, CGI versions of deceased actors in Star Wars films, this idea about resurrecting dead porn performers, bringing back your husband as an AI chat bot; All of it speaks to an unhealthy relationship with the reality of death.

I believe we are here for a while, we make a mark on the people who love us - maybe that's fans and peers, maybe it's just your family - and then we go. And I think that's a beautiful thing, personally, to be loved and then to be missed.
