It's kind of fun, but takes a bit of time on my computer. I don't think it has the same appeal as actual photographs. I do not have the hardware needed to generate high res photo realistic stuff, and I'm not too sure how well it would do that. I also think that knowing the image isn't real makes it less exciting.
