I appreciate the info on Lightspeed. As for Acworth and Kink, it was absolutely because of poor management! Years before the rise of Only Fans. Kink was actually doing really well with Alison Boden as CEO. I believe from around the time Kink moved out of the Armory, February 2017, until Acworth's return in October 2021. Morale was up and the company was a lot more productive and sustainable. Since Acworth's return, things went right back to the hell they were before. And worse. It has to be nearly a dozen directors that have come and gone since, not including the ones that were there from before. As well as countless other production staff and various bts employees. The only one left is JP The Pope. The release schedule is all over the place. And the quality of the scenes has also dropped off.. I don't see how investing so much in AI development is going to turn business around. Even if AI does take off, Kink will still be plagued by poor management, toxic environment, high turnover and overall general ineptness. And Peter Acworth won't be the one to benefit from it. It's like continuing to stockpile band-aids when you really have cancer.
I just watched something really interesting. It's not porn, but it's a very well-known streamer Emiru having a conversation with an AI version of herself.
The AI is from a website called character.ai, where apparently you can chat with all sorts of celebrities, from Julius Caesar to Julia Child. It seems to function in a way that is not unlike the chatbot on Adult Time, in that it will give a brief description of the "body language" or emotional state before providing each verbal response. Sadly, porn content is forbidden, so I can't ask AI Malena Morgan which one of today's porn girls she would really like to have sex with.

Google has this new AI thing that analyzes text and creates notes for the user called "Notebook LM". The fascinating thing about it is that one of the note-taking functions available is for it to create AI-generated audio that appears to be two people talking about the supplied text. It has access to the internet, so I pasted the link to the last page of the All Things Lesbian thread and I found the resulting audio amusing:
With fake audio and fake visuals coming along fairly quickly, the "porn industry" might come to consist simply of competing language models. Mindgeek/Aylo has a huge catalog of AV material that they could point a machine to for AI generation.
And, earlier this year, I saw a clip of a redhead MILF in a lovely white night gown, showing off all kinds of different emotions (smiling, laughing, crying, et cetera). Again, I don't know the creator's name, but it looked rather impressive. Here's a screenshot:
Porncompanies always where the first to embrace new technology. I don't understand why it takes so long. Eventually this will be much scheaper then hiring actresses, filling in lists of what they want and what they don't want to do. Entless possibilites to fullfill every dirty fantasy without any hassle
because it's not real? the whole attraction with porn is it's real, even if that's studio shot. When you watch a porn scene, you know that that's a real person filming all these sexual acts and that's what turns people on.
I can get turned on by written fictional stories and also by AI porn pics and clips. But when I really want to jerk off and cum... I still use pics and vids of/with real persons. combined with my own fantasies.
It's just different for everyone of us. We will soon find out what the general status of AI porn is going to be. I'm not principally against these developments. As long as it doesn't replace the 'mainstream' porn entirely. In my book, there's plenty of room for various expressions of erotica and porn.
^^&^^^People like hentai and all sorts of animated porn. This doesn't seem all that different to me. But give it five or ten years and you'll no doubt be able to get photo-realistic porn of Taylor Swift or Sydney Sweeney or whoever, and the 'realness' of it will be irrelevant. AI will change everything.

idk what the rules are surrounding deepfakes, but obv there's room for the fantasy aspect of it with things such as AI and Hentai. But I think it'll be a parallel to porn and won't replace it entirely.
^While there are women who are prepared to have sex on camera, there will always be 'proper' porn, but the deepfake stuff is likely to blow up out of all proportion. Presumably, zero celebs are going to sanction the official use of their images, so it will all be illegal, dark web stuff. But I assume it will be unbelievably popular. Hell, one day you'll be able to generate porn scenes featuring that girl at work you really fancy too.

Not completely, of course, but studio porn has lost a lot of relevance and quality in the last 5 years and we should assume that AI will change this form of entertainment dramatically.
^ you say it has decreased in quality... How do you expect AI having better quality? Picture quality? Better performances? As AI is currently implemented, it doesn't do renderings of 3D scenes, they are only reproducing already trained shooting patterns. You can probably tell the AI to zoom in/out, but tell it to show a more interesting angle would be a challenge.
They have just done that, at least to a degree. I've seen it literally yesterday. To a degree because it's still based on single photos, that are used to make brief 3d videos where you can zoom in, zoom out, change the angle right, left, from above or below as you want. It's a very impressive editor. Obviously it has still a lot of limitations, but in few years this kind of tech will be way more advanced.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned the site Mrdeepfakes. The AI is pretty crude, consisting of faces of celebrities superimposed on existing porn clips, but it will undoubtedly get better over time.

As far as performance is concerned, it is basically quite easy to improve the quality because everyone has their own standards. You don't have to reinvent the wheel, you will just be able to express your own fantasy. That's already a massive increase in quality in my opinion.
As far as the technical aspect is concerned, it will be a case of learning by doing. You will play with the camera and lighting until you develop a feel for it and discover what works for you. You will also be able to get tips and tricks from hundreds of thousands of users. I would take Deepfake out of this discussion. You can implant a face in a finished product, but it's not my product. I'm still dependent on someone else's imagination.
What Stable Diffusion can do, for example, is design an image according to my wishes. By using prompts. However, I can now also "merge" several of these images into an animation. What happens in this animation is also determined by prompts. As I said, we are in the very early stages of this type of AI. But I am convinced that with increasing computing power, within the next 5 years, everyone will be able to freely design their own scenes.
I hope this Link works for you. This is a very small video that someone created using only prompts.

And this example is also intentionally anime-like.
Unfortunately you can't see the other two vids because you have to register for NSFW. However, this example is accessible to everyone. And don't forget, these are all amateurs experimenting with a new technique. The potential is endless...
I really hope it takes off. But what I want to see is being able to enhance and edit old scenes. Say being able view it from a different angle. Changing some of their clothes like If the actress takes her heels off in the scene maybe AI can have it where the heels stay on or you can change what type of heels she's wearing.
^^ha. Classic porn obsessive response. Which I share in full, of course. 'If only the ai could go back to that scene with Lanny Barbie I have watch 38 times since 2006 and not cut away from her goddam face/tits/feet at 12:37!'
Fully on board for the ai porn. I don't think it's gonna need to reference any 'actual person,' if you blend five gorgeous girls the permutations will be unique and that will be that. You can train the sex-gesture energy on Tory Lane, Kimberly Kane and Chayse Evans and *that will be that*.

For now, I think the best use of AI in porn is to recover or upscale old footage. With tools like Topaz Video AI/Photo Pro AI/Gigapixel, this is fairly easy now although for best results, some mucking around is required.
I've actually seen old footage from sites like Mr Chews Asian Beaver or Mr Big Dicks Hot Chicks upscaled and posted on legit legal sites like faphouse. Some of it is very obvious and not that well done, as with all things.
I think there's a limit to how much AI you can consume (at least while being aware that is in fact not a real person). The mental response to knowing that what you're seeing was actually done in real life by a real person (who you could, again theoretically, fuck) is a whole lot different than the one due to AI generated stuff.
I've seen some old scenes upscaled with Topaz. It's the kind of stuff that works well when the source has already good definition. The higher the source quality, the better the result. With very low res (let's say under 720p) and highly compressed videos , which unfortunately it's the case for the vast majority of old scenes, the results are very mediocre, unnatural and with a lot of artifacts. Hopefully in the next future we will see things much better than that, at least for still photos I've seen jaw dropping results eve for very low resolution pictures, but for videos I don't think we're still there. At least, not for this week of november, I don't know for the next since the technology is improving at an insane speed.

I'm not so sure that's true for everyone. In my experience, people don't care that much about veracity in porn. And cartoon porn is huge. I think as long as engineers can get it looking real enough, like modern video game graphics, people will be into it, especially if it's to the point where they can type what they'd like to see and get a pretty good approximation of what they typed in return.
^this in a nutshell is probably going to be the future's defining debate, not just of porn but basically everything: is `actual human' agency a prerequisite for convincing stimulation? I tend to doubt it. I mean, it's interesting - like most longtime porn consumers the difference between a great scene and the 99.9% non-great ones comes down, for me, to whether the merest glimpse of genuine human turn-on is visible. And yet given how rare it is in porn I wonder if this can actually be fashioned by computers more efficiently than it can your average put-upon adult actress and her cinematographers. Given how fast everything is advancing I seriously suspect it can.
"Genuine human turn-on" is a very complicated issue, especially when you put a director, a camera crew, and carefully negotiated payment (deliverable only after filming), into the equation.
Notice how luxurious and fancy the wardrobe, makeup, and setting are. As far as lesbian porn goes (my primary interest), only Slayed has approached this level, and we have seen how they are having trouble financing this consistently. If the cost of AI generated video will come down significantly, we can potentially see more of this.
It reminds me of the situation with Japanese anime. A big reason many people like it is that it has a lot more scifi and fantasy productions. Many people like scifi and fantasy, but the cost of producing these in live action is astronomical, but doing so in animation is a lot lower. I wonder if in the future we can have really interesting AI generated scifi/fantasy lesbian erotica.

True. from my experience, older 480p videos don't upscale smoothly to something like 4k without multiple upscaling factors in between (so something like 480p to 960p to Full HD to 4k). But on the other hand, even 4k videos with extremely bad compression can be hard to enhance smoothly without additional steps. For example, and I hope I'm not violating any rules here, this is one screenshot from a Alexa Grace vid from InterracialPass that I had to downscale from 4k to 720p in Topaz Video AI and then upscale back to 4k through Gigapixel AI with Face Recovery.

Porn featuring live humans already answers this question: no. Most of the stuff I preview and pass on features women looking clearly fake, dry, and uncomfortable, but it is entertaining someone, presumably the majority of folks on the given site. There's no reading of body language going on for the average producer/consumer.
There is also the matter that much of porn is about at least pretending there is a lack of agency, i.e. incest, cnc, barely legal, etc
Porn is extremely primed for programmatic canned imagery to take over because porn already is programmatic canned images, even though most of it features live humans. The humans aren't even allowed to talk to each other as they normally might talk to a new person they are sexually exploring with because their behaviors are dictated and cartoonized. AI is perfect for porn.
well - the Michael Ninn catalog of the 2000s. also gotta say much Dorcel stuff. but point taken. sign me up for anything featuring the `girl' in lower left on the left.
yes, but where are the missing legs? (top left image, bottom right image). Usually it's fingers that are either too many or too few, but here all the focusing on fancy wardrobe and kissing, ... some things gotta go.
that looks good, but I guess that's because the bitrate was also high enough. Old 480p videos with low bitrate and a lot of banding, I suspect the result would not be even remotely that good. And many old videos have even worse resolutions than 480p (aaaah, the good old days of the golden era of porn, where the whole scene looked like the censored part of japanese adult movies). But in any case why are you talking of multiple uscaling passages? What kind of difference could it make compared to go straight from, let's say, 720p to 4k?
Going through different steps/passages gives me the option of using different algorithms from one step to the next. Also, I'm not fully aware of how these algorithms actually work, but I feel there maybe more detail to work with when going through these steps. Yeah, this video is still modern by today's standards, but the quality was especially horrendous, which is odd because the screenshots they have on their site are of much better quality, so Idk what happening while uploading it to the website.
I watched a video about a new technology that could definitely make an impact on how porn is made. When I was watching it, I thought immediately "this could be perfect for porn". The funny thing is that the guy who made the video said that too immediately after I thought it. It's about filming the same scene with different cameras at the same time from different points of view, and with the AI it's possible to reconstruct a 3d model of the scene that allows the viewer to change the angle of the scene like you were there filming. Quite incredible stuff.
I don't know about full generation, but the ability to do deepfakes and superimpose a face has been around for a little while already. Hell I remember a few years back you could upload the image of someone's face, and it would scan its database of pornstars and give you the best "matches" to the pornstars who already shared a likeness to your photo and it would make the deepfaking easier. I assume once you can generate any porn scene, the extra step of using a real person's face will be minimally more difficult.
I'll admit that I understand there are ethical questions around things, but I've personally already used audio from recorded work meetings to train voice AI models to create scripts of coworkers saying things in their "voice".
I have not seen an AI porn video before but with how good some of the music videos are getting it prob won't be long before a company starts making them. If it could give me a Kortney Kane video i would check it out. AI has come this far because all the tech companies sell all the info to each other or on the open market and a lot of celebrities are selling their rights now its only a matter of time before porn starts do to if they already haven't started.
I wonder where the stuff that goes up on Michael Ninn's website https://michaelninn.com/ fits into this. I can't really tell what's going on there but it looks like work in the general direction of what used to get discussed here. His old (real live) models were often so beautiful that they sometimes looked like artistic renderings to begin with. If anyone could blend the aesthetics into believable AI porn it'd be him.
I know it's a terrible invasion of privacy and everything but I don't completely hate the idea of seeing some AI porn involving mega-hot celebrities who would never shoot porn in real life. I mean, a clip of Sydney Sweeney fucking Taylor Swift is not an appalling prospect. Whether the technology will eventually provide is another matter.

That's why it's disgusting, you're taking away money from actual porn performers. Also, they never asked for their likeness to be used for porn. What if someone did that to your mom or sister? don't support this crap
