I have. ^Yes, this is right. It's not even about being politically correct so much as communicating accurately so people know what group you're referring to. When I was a kid in the 70's, we still called Native Americans "Indians" but even back then people were starting to get confused over the term. I would say by the 90's usage had mostly switched to "Native Americans".

Gonorrhea can be cured with a single dose of antibiotics in most cases.
Actually the CDC started warning people a couple of years ago that the days when Gonorrhea was an easily treatable infection are now gone because there is now a super strain of the infection that is hard to treat. There is even a fear that we may get to a point where it will be untreatable with current antibiotic drugs.
