If you understand that going in, or if that is your fettish, you might like it. I got a title to see Kelly Star, and I thought maybe I got a bad one. When I copped another volume, I saw that the series was a lt of heavy girl B-Roll.

They did the same thing with a couple of the "Phat Azz White Girls" series.

I have seen most of the "All Dat Azz" , (I think they're up to #21 now), and all of the "Phat Azz White Girls 1-9" flicks from West Coast Productions , as I am a big ass worshipper of the first rank.

You get what you are looking for, and for the most part I support WCP's efforts, but as mentioned before, the talent, especially in the "ADA" series can be a little uneven and in both series, WCP's production effort leaves a lot to be desired.

I've found that in virtually all of the "ADA's" there are usually one or two really attractive girls out of the five scenes. And that doesn't necessarilly have to mean skinny. I don't like skinny. This IS a big ass thing, after all. But you do want SHAPELY, and you do want attractive girls. But the flip side of that is that the sex itself is usually pretty good and energetic in most of the scenes, even if the girl is somewhat less than a *10*.

In the "PAWG" series I've been frustrated by the opposite. In nine volumes, at five scenes in each, they've had most, if not all, of the big assed white girls working in porn today. Most are attractive, and all the big names that we know and love are here; Austin O'Reilly, Katja Kassin, Olivia O'Lovely, Sara Jay, Veronica Caine, Caroline Pierce, Darla Crane, Olivia Saint, Melanie Jagger , right on down the line. Yet invariably I find some disappointment in these scenes. The settings, lighting, sound, camera angles, editing, or make-up are bad, or the sex is just uninspired. Or some combination of all the above. I blame some of the sex problems on the WCP's male talent stable, but these are the same guys who fuck with energy and passion in "ADA" .

WCP is obviously not in the league of big budget production companies, and it really shows in "PAWG" . When I saw these same girls get the treatement in Evil Angel's "Ass Worship" , Elegant Angel's "Big Wet Asses" , Equisite Pleasures' "Big Butt Brother Lovers" , and Video Team's "Azz Fest" lines, I really saw what money, technical expertise and attention to detail can do.

But I'll still give WCP the benefit of the doubt in these two series, as long as they keep making them. I communicate my thoughts and desires to them on their website and in their Yahoo group, and they seem to be pretty receptive to their fans input.

West Coast gets, and deserves, its props from me for being the #1 black owned porn production company and for supplying the greatest variety of black themed lines and titles. No argument there and they have formed a solid niche for themselves in the porn galaxy. And I agree that "ADA" and "Booty Talk" are their flagship series.

As a matter of fact, I'm of the opinion that they were a little bit done in by their own success, especially with respect to their interracial offerings. Over the previous three years their "Chasing The Big Ones", "There's Something About Jack" , and my favorite, "Black Cravings" lines were all excellent products, and very good sellers. So much so, that it spurred the other production companies to create their own interracial lines and offerings until we now have a market that has more interracial titles, from more outfits than any fan could consume. "Black Cravings" ended it's run after 12 volumes, with some many other interracial offerings out there, "There's Something About Jack" has grown stale after 32 titles. (I don't think I've seen any of them after 20),and "Chasing The Big Ones" is just kinda limping along.

So they basically spoke to a market that hadn't been tapped, and then got caught up in the tide when the industry responded.

Which leads me to my point about the productions. We may disagree, but I still hold that you can randomly pick up ANY Evil Angel disc or tape, and ANY WCP Disc or tape, and it will be immediately apparent which company spent more money making the flick. The direction is cleaner, the SAME girls are made up better, the editing is cleaner, it's just a better presentation. And there are other production companies that have that same edge over WCP , that are competing for the same dollar.

Further evidence of this is that WCP seems to be almost a proving ground, for it's top shelf black male talent, who get their start and hone their chops with them, and then go on to the really big bucks at bigger outfits. Even if they form their own production company, they still have to be distributed by somebody, and WCP doesn't seem to be able to keep the Steele's and Slayer's and Pumpers and Mandingos around, after these guys get their legs with them.
Maybe it's a money issue, but that's just the way I see it.

I got much love for WCP , but I still see them as the little engine that's straining to keep up with the big boys, even if they are the leader in a certain demographic.

Excellent analysis. I don't mean to suggest WCP is in Evil Angel's league, but then again few studios are. I do think WCP's productions are comparable or better than most companies out there and I agree with you that they are the leader in their niche (although that may not last given the backing Slayer is sure to receive from EA).

In response to the original poster, clearly I am aware of many fans of All Dat Azz; however based on browsing the posts on this board I could imagine that for many here ADA would not be their "cup of tea".

Evil Angel has definitely pushed us into more stores and more distributers than we ever had..in the past.
