Typically I would post this in the shopping forum but since this information is highly targeted towards consumers of gay adult DVDs, I thought it would be appropriate to announce it here. If this is in the wrong forum, my apologies. Mods feel free to move it to its proper location if this is the wrong location.

Earlier this month, XRentDVD lifted the 30 day waiting period in regards to new releases coming available for XRentDVD Preferred customers. Today we are proud to announce that now our gay customers can sign up for our XRentDVD Preferred Premium plan and rent any gay DVD in our inventory with no due dates or late fees. That means that the entire inventory of over 2,400 gay DVDs on XRentDVD can be rented on a monthly plan with no due date or late fees. This includes titles from all the top gay studios like Falcon, Channel 1 Releasing, William Higgins, All Worlds, Titan, Colt to name a few of the over 40 predominantly gay studios XRentDVD carries. If you are interested in this service, feel free to visit the XRentDVD Preferred Premium page to learn more about renting gay adult DVDs without late fees and dues dates.

Um, there's something wrong with the template y'all used for that page, so where it should list the plan options, it just says

%%PLANS%%

That said, I have a few questions (I posted in your last thread about this):

It looks like this is the same as your Preferred plan, plus the option to include more gay titles in the queue. i.e. If someone joined your 3-at-a-time "Preferred Premium" plan, they could mix-and-match gay/not-gay for up to three movies total. Is that correct?

If that is the case, I assume this set of plans costs more than your other Preferred (which I suppose is reasonable, given that gay porn is seemingly more expensive in general). If that's correct, what's the price difference?

Thanks.

I see information for four adult title rental plans, however Preferred Premium is talked about only in glowing PR terms. What are its details as compared to the four listed plans? In other words, the four plans listed appear to be for non-Gay titles. Where is the list of plans that includes Gay titles?

Well, they seem to have fixed the page between when I viewed it and when you did. It's a little confusing, but if you go to their other page that explains the Preferred plan (sans "Premium"), you'll see four less-expensive plans listed. It seems as though the Premium plan adds access to an additional 2,000 gay titles beyond the regular "Preferred" plan. The price differences are $5, $10, $15, and $20 per month for the respective 2-, 3-, 5-, and 8-at-a-time plans.

Here are the [ invalid url ].

Is that right, Big Dave?

Sorry about the website glitches. Please let us know if you should find more. Yes, you can mix and match, although we expect that the majority of titles queued will be from the high-end Gay studios. Other than the expanded product list, the Premium plans work the same as our other Preferred plans:

* Flat monthly fee
* No late fees
* Send back individual titles as you are done with them
* Cancel at any time and we'll keep shipping to you until the end of your paid month.

The Premium plan pricing reflects the cost difference of including the high-end Gay titles. Not a bad deal, given that many of these titles rent for $9.99 per week. But the real value is in being able to always have a DVD at your disposal without having to worry about when it is due.

Thanks again for taking the time to let us know about the glitches.

Hopefully our webmaster has answered the questions you had posted previously in this thread. If you have more, feel free to post again and we will get you an answer. Or you can use the email function and directly ask me a question.

Edited to add - Looks like we have worked out all the kinks in the system. Feel free to advise us on anything else you see come up in the future.

Big Dave --

I use XRentDVD a fair amount. Is there a reason why you guys don't carry Raging Stallion stuff? Also, I know you have some Hot House DVDs but HH also produces Plain Wrapped Video and Club Inferno which you don't seem to carry. I suspect I lnow the answer but fill me in (so to speak).

Billy, Thanks for your interest. Hopefully I can answer your question.

The reason why we do not carry those studios you mentioned are unique to each one but I will speak in generalities. The main reasons are they replicate their DVDs in DVD+R formats. All of our DVDs are the original disks from the studio. We will not rent or sell copies of highly questionable origin and quality. Even if a DVD+R is sent us directly by the studio that produces it, we will not accept it because we would like to maintain a high quality of products. DVD+R products tend to dillute the quality image we like to portray of offering original DVDs produced and replicated professionally.

Another reason would be content that is currently in the grey area of what is considered to be obscene. Obscenity laws differ from location to location but we try to carry products that have the best chance of not being considered obscene.

Another reason is we might not be able to buy direct from those studios. Buying direct not only allows us to negotiate a fair purchase price but also allows us reliable reorder times should we run out of a product.

Those are just a few reasons that might apply and those reasons I suggested might not apply to all of the studios you mentioned. One or a combination of those reasons might discourage us from carry that particular product. Hopefully the over 40 studios we do carry in our gay category can satisfy your tastes for now. We are always looking into adding new studios and bringing in more and more product so check back frequently to see what is new at XRentDVD.

Been using your service for a while now without "joining" a plan, and am still a bit confused. If you belong to the premium plan you get access to more titles then everyone else?

I'm happy at what I have offered to me now, but what I would like to see is some "special offers" to the gay market, ie rent one get one free, or rent one get a $4.99 or less free, or rent 5 the sixth is free etc.

Any plans for any special deals for us horny guys?

I've never seen a Raging Stallion or Hot House DVD+/-R. I think they both do professional replication.

I think it has more to do with Hot House and Raging Stallion have fisting and other nasty things in their vidoes. Maybe the difference is that Hot House puts out their nasty videos under different product lines (Plain Wrapped & Club Inferno) so it's easy for xrentdvd to just avoid those lines. With Raging Stallion, there's really no distinction which videos have the nasty stuff and which don't.

It is a shame that they don't carry Raging Stallion, they've come out with some really great vidoes lately.

I will try to respond to everyone the best I can.

Netguy – It sounds like you have been utilizing the XRentDVD Weekly rental plan where you can rent individual titles without a recurring charge for unlimited rentals. The plan that we rolled out last month, XRentDVD Preferred Premium, is a subscription plan that allows the members to rent any and all DVDs we carry. Before we brought on this Premium program our Preferred plan excluded many of the ‘premium’ titles. That said, many of the higher quality gay DVDs were not included in this plan. By opening up the Preferred Premium plans, all of our gay DVDs are now available to rent for a flat monthly fee with no due date and no late fees. You can continue to rent individual titles through our weekly program but if you like to rent numerous DVDs without late fees or due dates for a flat monthly fee, our XRentDVD Preferred Premium plan might be your best bet.

Bobpowers – In my previous response I was referring to a number of different reason as to why we carry some studios and possibly not others. Not all the reasons apply to all the studios. When considering to bring in new product from a new studio we are very careful to make sure they fit in with the standards we have set forth. I would suggest if you know of a particular studio that we currently do not carry and would like us to consider adding it to our inventory, please email our purchasing dept. at: requests@xrentdvd.com. We can't guarantee any specific title or studio will be added, but the emails are read by our buyers and we are ramping up our gay buying with the success and increased interest in our Premium plans.

JoeBlow – I would suggest you also email our purchasing department in regards to bringing in the Raging Stallion products. Send them to requests@xrentdvd.com. Again no guarantee it will be added but I can tell you that we take requests very seriously. In the past, if the demand is high enough for a particular product line we have brought it in. Since there are so many studios out there with many new ones popping up everyday, it is very difficult for us to know about all of them. Our customers can provide us with some of the best information in regards to new products that we should be aware of. By making a request to the email I provided you can be a part of the process.

Hopefully I answered your questions. If you have more, feel free to post again.
