Gonzo, if only for the quality all-around. Amateur to me means poor quality. Poor cameras and camerawork. The women generally aren't as hot IMO, nor are the scenes. I love pro-am porn though.

The best amateur is better than the best gonzo. But, in both cases, you have to sift through a lot to find the best. The weak link in gonzo is the assembly-line aspect which treats all girls as interchangeable, and cameramen/directors in a rut, and an overall S.S.D.D. vibe about things. The weak link in amateur is inferior equipment and unskilled technical people. I have never seen a perfect gonzo scene. But I have seen some perfect amateur scenes.
I think the thing that attracts ppl to the amateur genre is the "reality". SOMETIMES in an amateur scene it seems like the actors aren't acting. I find that to be a turn on.
Best of both worlds IMO. Much better quality, if not the same as most professional shoots. I think they can be more spontaneous due to the amateur not being a pro, plus I think they tend to be shot different...meaning shot more straight forward. Plus the female (I prefer pro female/amateur male) tends to take a more aggressive role, than the usual submissive role they take with male pornstars. Again MO. And there is the simple fantasy factor with me. I'll agree that most amateurs can't keep up with the pros. but I really don't expect them too. Hell I'm not convinced the male pornstars can generally keep up with their female counterparts. If it's not simply about the money or the shots, the best will usually give the amateur more than one shot to get it right. I just wish they'd stop trying to pass pros off as amateurs though. I'm not really against amateur porn though. I'll pretty much give anything a shot if any of the chicks is hot enough.

This is mixed for me. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. Gonzo is great. A lot of great production values, pretty girls, great audio and video, excellent directing, themes, etc, etc. On the other hand Gonzo also means porn girls tend to over exaggerate, fake it out, wear way too much makeup, poor directing, poor talent choice and so on and so forth. Amateur means realistic sex between real people. You can relate to it more because of it. There are a few amateur things out there with quality just as good as some Gonzo companies. Not to mention a much more massive pool of performers. I have seen many everyday girls that trump most of the industry girls out there now. *****The Dr. of Nasty*****
