What synchronicity! Just yesterday I was chatting with a colleague and he brought up the time we shot Amber. It was a g/g/b scene and both the girls were supposed to do anal. But once on set, Amber claimed for some (now forgotten) reason that she couldn't take it in the pooper. So we ended up not shooting any anal that day. I'd also heard from another director that he hired Amber for an anal scene, but she then backed out. And my colleague was on another set when Amber pulled the same stunt. So we know of at least three instances where Amber was hired for anal, but didn't once consummate.

Perhaps she was gaming the system: taking anal scenes, then excusing herself once on set from actually doing it, and there are plenty of excuses a girl could make. As it's so hard to hire girls at short notice, particularly for anal, and Amber had such a great, fresh look, I would bet most directors would just shrug their shoulders and let her off the hook.

I don't know if Amber ever did any anal for anyone and I'd be interested if she did. She was in the biz for maybe three months in late 2003/early 2004, and as she was a nice Jewish girl from the Conejo Valley, I don't think la vie pornographique was really for her. My colleague and I still refer to her as the original "anal liar".
