At the request of Europe, Dana Lynn got picked this week for the "American Babe of the Week". A couple of days ago I received an e-mail from Europe, which went like this:I was orginally thinking about picking a more recent performer (this will certainly happen next week), but I would like to help Europe out and I would like to call on all ATD members, who know something about Dana Lynn, to do the same.
For starters, here is her picture:
I know she still has a loyal fan base: she is regularly the subject of posts on a.b.p.e.p.80s, there is at least 1 Yahoo group devoted to her and iirc, there is also at least 1 fan site devoted to her.
I have seen her in 16 flicks, the best of which were: Tricks of the Trade , Nasty Dancing , Goin’ Down Slow , The Cat Woman and especially the two Alex De Renzy directed videos The Ghostess with the Mostess and Prom Girls .
IMHO, she was not the most electrifying performer, but in the looks department, she certainly stood her ground compared to her contemporaries and even to the curent crop of lovelies. And I guess she had to be called Dana LYNN, since every blonde in the biz at the time seemed to use that family name.
Thanks Walter for making Dana Babe of the week. You already know I'm a big fan of her. I don't own a video or DVD with her, but I've rented in the late 80's early 90's.

according to iafd.com she's born on March 5 1969 and is a.k.a. Candy Cruz, Candy Cooze or Candy Croza. She started her carreer in 1987. So she started at 18 to perform. She performs in about 60 movies and some scenes of her are on complicationvideos. She also posed for some magazines for example Hustler august 1988 (covergirl) Club march 1989
In 1992 she disappeared and I don't know where she's gone.
Is there any among you that knows what she does after fer retirement?
My favorite those days. I have 26 of her scenes in my comp tape library. My ideal of girlish beauty, of which today Monica Sweet might be regarded a pale shadow. The people here are too young to know of her, Europe. I always wondered why she didn't become a big star. If the birthdate you give is correct and iafd is accurate, she would have been 17 her first dozen movies. Could that be it?
I do not know what happened to her, but might I ask a fellow fan what your favorite scenes are?
Correction: I guess she wouldn't have been underage in 1987. Why then did she not become a big star? She was the most delectable thing around those days. Leslie said, "The best thing I've seen in a long time." I think she didn't want to do that. A shame if she wasted her beauty on some individual man in life, who in time would doubtless take her for granted. But she didn't love the camera. That way Michelle Wild does, for instance: preening before her adoring "daddy"--who is the same motion picture camera immortalized Greta Garbo. She couldn't act, cracking up when she tried, and therefore had no screen presence. (I'm just speculating.) When Stagliano was photographing her beauty in "A Touch of Pleasure" she giggled and chewed her gum. I'm just glad I wasn't in Porn Valley at the time: this one I could not have resisted.
Probably Stagliano's "Tricks of the Trade" (mentioned by Walter). Cute smile, huh? A favorite scene of mine is in "Introducing Barbii": really scratches up Scott Irish's back in unfeigned passion, and the sight of that beautiful ass in cowgirl sticks in memory. She comes in "Suzy Cue" too, though in a less memorable scene. Looks perfect in "Blonde Fantasy," as well as in "Kascha's Blues" (with Peter North). You can see her natural hair in "Cherry Cheerleaders" and her nipples nursed to extraordinary pertness in "Lusty Detective" (movies that cannot otherwise be recommended). The scene in "Prom Girl" (passing out and being taken advantage of) has the wicked/fun de Renzy stamp, but alas Blake Palmer is present. I've been meaning to get "The Ghostess With the Mostess" for a long time: I wonder if she's good in that. And now I also want "Tricks of the Trade."
I searched the Net on this girl a couple years ago: no one seems to know what happened to her. Too bad we can't get John Stagliano or John Leslie to tell us what they know.
Dana could have been a superstar. pretty much disappeared without a trace. Afore-mentioned John Leslie got to do her in 'Goin Down Slow' - which I'm sure he arranged (also for his buddy Joey Silvera in same flick). Great scene, though.
