Hi,
I maybe wrong here but i guess almost all original "american" Adult dvds are "NTSC Code 0". Most players in europe should be able to play them. Correct me if i´m wrong

With the exception of Sineplex the most part of American DVDs are zone free or All zones and NTSC so they can be viewed by the most part of European DVDplayers.

though a multistandard TV PAL/NTSC/SECAM is needed, almost every TV in Europe is Multistandard but not them all

The reason is that in France there is a SECAM color system and France is Zone 2 so every TV must be able to reproduce them , Japan is also Zone 2 but have a NTSC color System so a European TV must be able to make viewable every system inside the zone 2

Hi,
I believe you do not need a multistandard tv because the dvdplayer (if possible) can either send the signal as NTSC or PAL to the tv. The term "MULTISTANDARD" has been bend over backwards in europe cause almost everytime you read "Multistandard" it means PAL/SECAM/NTSC (4.43) and not PAL/SECAM/NTSC(3.58,4.43)
