(an impossible and futile task but enjoyable trying none the less) My question: Is it an indication of the tough economic times and lack of employment opportunities or is it that young girls today are much more aware of their sexuality and are prepared to experiment a lot more than say a decade or two ago ? Has porn become more socially acceptable? Are young girls today just a lot more rebelious than previously? I am sure there are plenty of other thoughts on this subject and I would be interested to hear other opinions other than the obvious one which is - who cares lets just enjoy it while it lasts. What with the costs of college tuition these days. Many new girls when interviewed almost always mention that they first viewed porn with their boyfriends and found it interesting/a turn on/made them more curious etc etc. I suspect because of the easy availability via technology of porn via laptops mobile phones and the rest more young people are able to access porn by just pressing a few buttons. Then seeing all these other attractive young girls apparently having a fantastic time they may reason well if they are doing it and enjoying themselves as well as making some fast cash maybe its a viable option for me to at least try. While many young girls certainly had fathers with some porn on VHS, it was often hidden in a closet or drawer somewhere, and access to it was limited to when parents weren't home. Even further, it had to be watched on the family TV, and that takes some balls, so to speak, because neighbours might see you through the window, siblings might catch you, parents might come home, etc. So watching porn, while not out of the question, was a bit limited. Now, in 2009, essentially everyone has a computer. And most of the time, teenagers will have one for school, in their own rooms. With torrents, direct download sites, tube sites, etc. any girl as young as 12 or 13 likely has access to, and knowledge of, unlimited porn, in unlimited places on the net. So many of these 18yr old girls getting into the biz now say things like "I used to watch porn with my friends/boyfriend", or "I've been wanting to get into the biz for a while now, and I was just waiting until I turned 18". This kind of thing just wasn't available on such a mass scale 20, or even 10 yrs ago. I'm not saying there weren't 18yr olds getting into the biz back then, or that there weren't underage girls watching porn... but not on the mass level as now. I mean today, you would have to search far and wide to find a girl 14, 15, 16 yrs old, to find one that has never seen any porn at all. It's that pervasive. So with more exposure comes more knowledge, and more legitimate consideration of pursuing a career in porn. Put that together with some of the de-stigmatization around both porn and sex, and you have the perfect climate for 18yo girls getting into the biz. [Link] |

Alot of things are more acceptable now than they were 10 or 20 years ago, but that doesn't mean there are still no stigmas attached to them. There probably are a few girls who decide to fund their education by going into the adult entertainment industry.
